Just read this is Gardner's 10th season on the team. Crazy how fast time flies.

.217/.280/.391 over his last 5 games. Dude is streaky AF.

Now .174/.240/.348 after last night's game. I understand the concept of sample size. Not calling him a bad player. Just making the point that he is very streaky.

Sound more like you are cherry pick stats to make it seem like he is in a slump.

Yeah, pretty common in baseball to hit in streaks.

Is he reminding me of Roy White?
Roy had 15 years with the Yankees.
Any how, the best LF for the Yankees since Mr. White.

    .646 OPS in April
    1.073 OPS in May
    .635 OPS in June

One of the streakiest players I've ever seen.

.287 OBP for June. Forget the rest of the numbers, you can't have this for a leadoff hitter. He used to get tired after the All Star break, maybe his age is moving the date up.

Exactly. Fans complained about Sanchez batting 2nd, but Gardner's recent lack of production leading off has been a far bigger problem.

...this is why he should be traded, and better still should have been trade a while ago.

When he has that month where he's on fire, everyone lambastes those who want him traded. However the streak never lasts long enough and the valleys are frequent and lower than the mountains are high.

And, tick tock tick tock, he gets older, and... age is not kind to speed.

With the riches in the OF in the Organization, the Yankees would be wise to trade him as soon as the hot streak returns.
That's our second Arby's in town. Some say it's better, the fries are curlier, though I wouldn't know. I'm loyal to the original.
