That was my initial thought as well, but its not against the rules. Smart play by Goins, bad play by Frazier. Turning your back to the ball is never a good idea.

Considering the drought plus the fact it came on the heels of the game tying 3 run shot by Brett in the 8th...gotta go with this one.

I don't either, but would you be saying the same thing if the roles were reversed? Or if it wasn't even the Yankees it happened too?

No it wouldn't bother me as much. But I can honestly say I would think it's a little corny considering the situation.

Gray/Severino/Tanaka have laid eggs this week and all were pitching on their non scheduled days. Good stuff.

Mine as well--it's been my sig since 2001. It was not the WS, but it lead to a WS, unlike 2003, and it was the culmination of a march to the top from 14 games back at the ASB. It was also win or go home, like a Game 7.

I saw it in a packed grad student lounge on the banks of the Charles FULL of Red Sox fans with just a half-dozen hated Yankee fans at one table in the middle. When that ball went out, it was just the six of us jumping up and down like madmen in front of a hundred frozen glares. It doesn't get better than that.

    Agreed.

    Chambliss was the best HR.

The 78 play in game against the Sox was the best game.

Welp, that about wraps it up.

    Wild Card it is.

No idea who should start it. I guess Severino.

No way Tanaka can opt out. He would lose so much money. terrible season for him.
