If we get that out of Bird, I'm going to be ecstatic

I'm going to enjoy watching this season eventhough we might be a .500 team. Guys like Bird, Sanchez, Judge, Severino, are going to be fun to watch and root for.

I didn't expect this team to be good this year. So I don't care. I just don't want them to panic and stop the youth movement.

WTF was that about? 8 hits, 7 runs.... Is there a way to accelerate our starting pitching prospects?

If they're under .500 by the deadline, expect more sell offs. Gardner, Headley, Betances maybe even Tanaka.
I don't think we see Frazier or Torres if the Yankees are above expectations/clicking. Maybe September at best.

I'm more upset Tanaka is hurting his trade value than losing this game.

I noticed you didn't include Ellsbury.

Which is ok, I guess. We still get him through his prime years assuming his elbow is ok.

    Ellsbury is untradeable.

It's time to start the Jacoby DFA countdown.

Seems like Tanaka and Sanchez need to get on the same page. Sort of funny after the getting lunch commercial.

    Well, that sucked.
What we can appreciate now is that the Yankees from 1996-2003 were even more extraordinary than we thought.

Tanaka had one of his worst outings as a professional today. He wasn't just missing by inches. He was missing by lots of inches, and at times, the inches were remainders because he had missed by over a foot.

This team is not that good. The league knows how to attack sanchez and bird now. They will need to adjust. On the bright side, Judge only struck out once. Im a firm believer that if he cuts down on his strikeouts, the numbers will be there.

Watching MadBum right now. Why the hell can't we develop a pitcher like that? Why can't we even develop another Wang? I'd take Ian Kennedy at this point.

Agreed. Just one game but he shook him off a lot. They said slider was the issue and that my be what they didn't jive on. Tanaka was as off as I've seen him. As long as he's ok it will work itself out.

Look guys, its the first way to early overreaction post of the year.

Headley and Castro will also be our best hitters. And Tanaka isn't going to make it to the 4th inning in any of his starts.

In all seriousness, I do believe Sanchez is going to need to adjust. But I don't really agree with you saying the league figured out Bird. What makes you say that?
