Speaking of the binder, exactly what page deals with pitching to Donaldson? He was hitting under ..200 for the last 40 or so games and yet when he sees Yankee pitching, he finds success. Donaldson is 6-26 against the Yankees this year and 5 of those hits were for HRs.

And he'll be out if his slump before series end. Watch.
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

    I like tonight's lineup.

I still hate the 25 man roster.

Giving credit where it's due. It was nice to see Clint dropped to 8 in the initial lineup.

So if the Yankees win 5 more games than they should Girardi is hailed as a genius but if they have 8 less wins it's not his fault. Of course those five more wins only got us a lower pick in the draft. Eight more wins now and the Yankees would be leading the division.

Exactly, by the numbers the yankees should be running away with the ALE. Instead the next two weeks could see them drop out of the playoff picture all together.

Or it could see them take over the division lead. Dropping out of the playoff picture altogether is virtually impossible for them in the next 2 weeks. I think I'll wait to see if the sky is falling.

Only 2.5 up on WC2 (4 on the loss side, currently tied between M's and Rays) and 3 on the first team on the other side of the cut (Minnesota).

How's it "virtually impossible" for them to fall out of it in the next 14 days? Hell if Boston sweeps they could be out of it on Monday.

Absolutely true. These are dire times IF they continue losing.
Standings: Big Inning 32-16; Blue Cut 27-21; Shoo Fly 26-22; Husk 22-26; Frank Pierce 21-27; Iowa City 16-32.

Maybe not in the next two weeks but they certainly could be out by mid September

They probably can but Robertson and Betances would be the first choices.

    So does Cash.

He almost single handedly saved this game by himself.

Seriously? "Out of it" normally means out of contention.

The only way it helps us is IF the rest helps him in October -- and of course we have no way of knowing.
