If I became a football fan after the merger then I would be rooting for one team. I was a Giants fan from the time I started watching the NFL. I became a Raiders fan a few years later when I was watching an AFL game and thought how cool their uniforms were with that pirate emblem on their helmets. Little did I know that a merger would happen in another 3-4 years. My father was a Packers fan and adopted the Jets from the AFL, when they drafted Joe Namath. Needless to say, my father had the upper hand over me for a while. I had to listen to his crap after his Packers destroyed my Raiders in the second Super Bowl and then came Namath barely beating the Raiders in the playoffs before Super Bowl III. It was horrible for me. However, it turned around for me later on.

Dad was a life long Giants fan. My first football game in person was the Miracle at the Meadowlands. Needless to say I am not an Eagle fan.

This SB is gonna suck. Can both teams lose?

Well, I agree with you there. I'm planning on not watching the Super Bowl as I hate both teams.

I'll watch. But I won't care who wins.

The Chargers of the 80's were the closest team to being my 2nd team. It's a shame Fouts never got to play in the Super Bowl. Today my 2nd favorite team is whoever is playing the Eagles. Go Pats!

I rooted for those Charger teams too. They were fun to watch. But it was Fouts and the receiving corp that made it fun. Air Coryell, good times. They never really could play much defense though.

Oh and anyone I could win money on betting directly or through the football pool was often my favorite team of the week.

The #Giants are making James Bettcher their new defensive coordinator, source says. He chose them over the #Titans.

Top 6 defense 3 years in a row with AZ

Great choice! I'm starting to like the Giants hires more and more each day.

Agree. I'd have been fine with Del Rio for D-coordinator but this move seems even better.

I think for the most part player decisions are done after the super bowl but before the renewal of the league season (March 1?)
