I can also see the Tennessee Titans making a deep run this year.

I'm not convinced at the Indianapolis Colts' defense being improved and Andrew Luck staying injury free.

It will take a while for Deshaun Watson to make an impact with the Houston Texans.

And it will be a while for the Jacksonville Jaguars to steer in the right direction with Tom Coughlin calling the shots in their front office.

NFL relaxes its arcane TD celebration rule starting this season. Group celebrations, Using the ball as a prop and on the ground celebrations will be allowed.

Jeff Triplette will still screw up and call a foul.

Cortez Kennedy can do it all as an interior defensive lineman: stuff the run, rush the passer, force turnovers, etc.

Time to bump this thread as we are in the dead zone of the football off-season. So how come no one bats an eye when an often injured shirtless Gronk blows over $100K at a nightclub and get smashed with his bros? What would be the reaction if a black player was reported behaving like this? Even an all-pro who has stayed out of legal trouble(i.e. not Pacman Jones). I just sense a double standard by the media and fans who give Gronk a pass for his party boy tendencies. Even if he only had 2 sips the whole night the frivolous spending is exactly the type of poor habits that lead players to bankruptcy after they retire and the money is no longer pouring in.

Huh, what exactly did Gronk do wrong?

Was he speeding? Running from cops? Carrying a weapon? Punch someone? Doing Drugs? Hitting Kids? Hitting Women? Raping Women?

I don't understand what point you're trying to make, if he had been doing any of those things he would get the same coverage as any black or other player

Frivolous spending by often injured NFL player who could be out of the league in 2 years could is foolish. Other players who are found spending an offseason partying (Shockey for example) instead of focusing on the next season face must greater scrutiny but somehow there is a Gronk exception.

It will catch up to Gronk eventually.

ok well first off it's not even clear that he did spend that much and second, he's getting plenty of media attention for it. There is just the same amount of scrutiny as any other star athlete. I don't understand people who go looking for racial bias everywhere

The racial bias was exposed when a group of black Giants receivers were filmed on a boat the week before a playoff game without a single alcoholic drink in their hand and it was a nationally discussed outrage (not helped at all by their performance in the game). You don't have to look too hard for it. Take race away from it, Gronk still gets a pass for Gronk being Gronk. Maybe I am just being biased since I think he is a major douchebag (bigger than Bryce Harper).

That was all about OBJ not taking his role seriously, not about black guys. Take that same boat trip in June instead of before a big game, and you have zero controversy

Some sports radio hosts of FOX yesterday were discussing the Gronk party reporting that Belichick and Brady aren't pleased with his lack of focus on football this offseason. It's one of the reasons he restructured his deal to a lower base with incentives.

It's very bad but it's really important to understand that these 111 players had problems in life post-career and wanted to be checked out in death. Players who reported no problems didn't request to have their brains examined. So it's a self selected group, it's not like 99% of all players have CTE, not by a longshot

What's the actual number, 10%? 20%? 40%? who knows unless they all autopsy
