They really do know how to suck the fun out of the sport. It’s amazing, really.

one of the biggest for sure, and there are many. One reason why the catch rules will be changed in the offseason. Most rule changes in the NFL are a result of trying to clip the wings of the patriots

Dungy is still butthurt over his Colts teams always losing to Brady. Every chance he gets he dings the Pats. It's embarrassing.

Nobody gives a flying fig about the Patriots. What people are ticked about is the fact that the replay system was used to overturn a call on the field based on not-so-obvious evidence.

I just don't think it is good for the game itself to reverse a critical call if the evidence in not indisputable. You can make a case that the ball moved, but it's pretty hard to see indisputable evidence that shows that it touched the ground. Not enough to overturn a call on the field which is what replay is supposed to do.

Dungy is missing an important footnote. In college it would be a catch but not a touchdown as Jones knee hit the ground at the 1. You don't have to be touched by a defender to end the play. Unless this has changed.

Which would be a way more sensible outcome from a rules perspective than an incompletion on that play. The end-zone fumble rule (notably of Derek Carr last night, and a bunch of other times this year) is even worse. It's insane that the other team is gifted the ball plus another magical 20 yards.

I was flipping around watching some of the NFL Games yesterday.

    1) They need to fix the "catch" rule. So stupid.

    2) Moreso, how do they not employ technology to determine ball placement and first down measurement. Is this the 1940's? Using the chains to measure the yardage is insane. How is it determined exactly where the ball is placed? By an official looking at the ball placement quite a few yards away to place the starting point. So dumb. Almost as dumb as humans calling balls and strikes in MLB.

The party's over for Rodgers, and presumably the Packers' playoff hopes.

How 'bout the Cowboys? Big D is eliminated!

It's down to the Atlanta Falcons and the Seattle Seahawks for the sixth and final playoff spot in the National Football Conference.

Neither of those teams deserve to be in the playoffs.

One will be the 6th seed seed. How do they not deserve to be in the playoffs.

If we're being honest, most AFC teams don't deserve to be in the NFL.

Every year, it's Tom Brady vs. Big Ben and 14 McCowns.

Can't fans just enjoy the playoffs? The 6 top teams from each conference make the playoffs. A 6th seed 9-7 team has won the Super Bowl.
