People will demand healthcare? I donít see how this is a problem.

People are being denied mental health treatment and are dying by suicide. If these people donít demand treatment that they need, what do you think is going to happen to them? Are they just going to suddenly become better? When the healthcare demand exceeds the supply, the response shouldnít be to deny care. It should be to add more providers to meet the demand.

In mental health, certainly, there are plenty of underemployed practitioners, and plenty of people who leave the field quickly when they realize how grim things are.

[I'm by no means supporting the present system, which is terrible. I'm just saying that the single-payer-solution-du-jour is not the wonderful solution it's touted to be.]
You're not wrong re: Supply & Demand, but a doctor/care shortage is an easier problem for society to tackle vs. the myriad of problems of our current system.

Immigration policies are not helping with the provider shortage situation either.
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

I saw an advertisement for Cardinal Newman High School ($15k annually) down in West Palm Beach, FL (Iím visiting the folks). They listed all the 2019 HS graduates, with profile pics of the ten best students and where theyíre off to school this Autumn.

8 of the 10 are going to public universities in Florida, and the other two are going to Emory and RPI.
