Good stuff from CNN. Not backing down to the 45* lap dogs.

If the "source" is really "close to the WH" I promise you they ain't talking to CNN! "Source close to White House" might mean a homeless person sleeping on a bench in Lafayette Square who screams random things about @realDonaldTrump THIS is CNN!

I doubt that he or anybody else takes the suspensions all that seriously because without fail they always let him back in after a week or two...I'm sure it won't be any different this time and he'll be back with the same act.

This administration has no shame. WTH even thinks like that.

White House budget director: 'Kind of cool' to be in charge of government shutdown

    http://www.cnn.com/2018/01/20/politi...ool/index.html

CNN)As the director of the Office of Management and Budget, Mick Mulvaney has been tasked with negotiating a deal with congressional leaders to fund the government and end the shutdown that began on Friday midnight.

If Congress doesn't reach a deal, come Monday, thousands of federal employees will be placed on furlough.

Before the shutdown went into effect Friday, Mulvaney described his role in charge as "kind of cool."

"Obviously, I'm heavily involved in this, Sean, is that the Office of Management and Budget is charged with, you know, sort of implementing running a shutdown," Mulvaney said on conservative commentator Sean Hannity's radio show Friday before the shutdown went into effect.

He added, "In fact, I found out for the first time last night that the person who technically shuts the government down is me, which is kind of cool.

I think that we as citizens who lose when the Government shuts down should work for a bill that penalizes every Congressperson that participates in a shutdown. Possibly a fine of $50,000. Of course that's a dream because it will never happen.

But there must be some sort of incentive for Congress to resolve differences and avoid shutdowns.

While I don't always agree with Mike and sometimes I wish he wouldn't be quite as aggressive in defense of his arguments but I'm glad he's here.

The junior senator from Nevada, Cortez Masto (D) is on record saying that she will donate her salary for every day of the shutdown.
Symbolic? Maybe. But she's taking a stand. Not many others will follow.

I don't know her personal financial situation....it could be her salary is incidental to her personal wealth...however, anybody forgoing their pay is doing more than just offering a symbolic gesture. Seems like a real and tangible move to me.

I realize virtually everything a politician does is for political gain in one form or another, but at least she is putting skin in the game.

Gotta love her for it. At least someone recognizes the damage they do to the "little people" when they go on strike.

When will the bastards start doing their jobs. Please remember this in November.

    Re: President Donald Trump

Talk about fake news. This is just wild:

    http://babylonbee.com/news/trump-mer...ns-jim-bakker/

BLUE EYE, MO—Squashing accusations that President Trump had a sexual encounter with porn star “Stormy Daniels” while he was married to Melania, televangelist Jim Bakker explained to his audience Friday that he had confirmed that Trump was merely scheduling private time with the woman in a hotel suite in order to share with her the good news of Jesus Christ, as he had become acquainted with her and was very concerned that she was not a Christian.

“It is preposterous to assert that a virtuous believer like Mr. Trump would cheat on his beautiful wife so callously, and while their child was only months old,” a solemn Bakker said into the camera as colorful balloons provided a backdrop for some reason. “He was so concerned with the eternal state of Miss Daniels’ soul that he scheduled some alone time with just the two of them, so he could share with her how Jesus Christ had changed his life and how He could also save her from her sins.”

Nearly choking up with tears, Bakker went on to explain how much he loves and looks up to Trump as a model saint.

“Our president even arranged through his attorney to give this woman $130,000 in an attempt to help rescue her from the destructive adult film industry and get her life back on track. What a man of God!”

The televangelist ended his broadcast by wagering that there were probably “many, many more” sex-industry workers like Daniels who could tell a similarly inspiring story about President Trump.
    My bold added.
