Well since the Legislative branch has decided to abdicate their Constitutional duty to be a check on the Executive branch we still thankfully have an actively working Judicial branch for these sort of things.
Basically, Trump is refusing to follow the law. Lock him up!

Trump wants spending cuts. Just take it form the bloated defense spending bill. That should easily cover the $25B his proposing and could also cover the $60B he wanted. No one will miss it.

Nonsense...we just need to make the poorest among us pay three times what they currently are paying for housing.

U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson on Wednesday will propose tripling the amount low-income households are expected to pay for rent as well as require those receiving housing subsidies to work, according to the administration’s legislative proposal obtained by The Washington Post.

The move to overhaul how low-income rental subsidies are calculated would affect more than 4.5 million families relying on federal housing assistance. The proposal legislation would require Congressional approval.

Currently, tenants generally pay 30 percent of their adjusted income toward rent or a public housing agency minimum rent not to exceed $50. The administration’s legislative proposal sets the family monthly rent contribution at 35 percent of gross income or 35 percent of their earnings by working 15 hours a week at the federal minimum wage -- or approximately $150 a month, three times higher than the current minimum.

Democrats didn’t win in Arizona, but here’s why they’re celebrating anyway

Once again, Democrats overperformed in a special election in Trump country. They didn't win a special congressional election in Arizona on Tuesday to replace former GOP congressman Trent Franks, but they came surprisingly close.

Across the country, in New York, Democrats flipped their 40th state legislative seat of the Trump era. It was the first time a Democrat won this state legislative district in more than three decades.

Let's go back to Arizona. On paper, Arizona's 8th Congressional District is not one where Democrats were expected to come close to victory. Franks ran unopposed in this Phoenix-area district for more than a decade before resigning in December over a scandal that involved asking staff members to have his baby. Donald Trump won this seat by 21 points in 2016. So did the past two GOP presidential nominees.

On Tuesday, the Republican, Debbie Lesko, won her race by five points. Hours before the election, a progressive Democrat told The Fix that Lesko winning by seven or eight points would be a reason for Democrats to celebrate.

In an unusual address to a joint session of Congress Wednesday, French President Emmanuel Macron laid out a sweeping indictment of President Trump’s worldview — all without mentioning Trump by name.

Macron, widely considered to be Trump’s favorite European leader, laid out positions sharply at odds with Trump’s positions on the Iran nuclear deal (Macron said the US should stay in it), climate change (Macron said it was real and needed to be fought), free trade (Macron warned against protectionism), and international cooperation more broadly.

“We can choose isolationism, withdrawal, and nationalism. This is an option. It can be tempting to us as a temporary remedy to our fears,” Macron said. “But closing the door to the world will not stop the evolution of the world.”
He expressed concerns that a worldwide rise in nationalism meant that “international institutions, including the United Nations and NATO, will no longer be able to exercise a mandate.”

Macron also warned that the weakening of those institutions will allow other rising powers that don’t share values with the US and Europe to step into the vacuum. He didn’t mention those powers by name, but it was clear he was talking about China.

In what might’ve been the most personal jab at Trump, Macron subtly made clear that he didn’t care for the president’s public affection for authoritarian leaders like Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Personally, if you ask me, I do not share the fascination for new strong powers, the abandonment of freedom, and the illusion of nationalism,” Macron said.
    Repeal the 2nd Amendment.
