What Trump says never really surprises me. What does surprise me is how Republican politicians watch this circus and remain silent. Their silence speaks volumes.

Especially since he is accused of rape. For any decent human being, that would be “bridge too far.”

The four Congresswomen targeted by the 45 just gave a great patriotic response to 45’s racist nonsense. They refused to call him by name rather than calling him the occupant in the White House. As I will now reference him

This stuff is going to blow peoples' minds and when it's all said and done, we'll know why he really called the press the enemy of the people.

I am expecting a tweet storm later. So tired of the “if you disagree with the President then you hate America”. It is sick

    Strongly agree.

There's absolutely no leadership within the party. No one with a vision for the future. No one willing to whisper in the President's ear when he's on the wrong track. Those few people in the inner circle who we had hoped would be the adults in the room are all gone.

January 2017, I thought Paul Ryan might be that guy. That didn't exactly work out the way I expected.

Trump will lose in 2020, unless the Democrats do something really stupid (don't rule that out). And, post-election, there will be an incredible void in leadership/power on the GOP side of the aisle. They've pushed all their chips into the middle of the table, and Trump, of all people, controls the wager. Hard to believe they could be this foolish.

The Republicans absolutely have a vision, and it depends on holding the Senate, not the White House.

No one wrote off half the country as deplorable. No one here takes it as gospel that all R’s are racist. To be accurate, the Hillary quote to which you’re referring was: “Half of Trump’s supporters belong in a basket of deplorables.”

Since Trump only got 46% of the vote, that refers to less than a quarter of the country.

And only 61% of the people voted iirc so the number is even lower.

Many of them don't think he's on the wrong track.

And many others are fine with the track as long as they get tax cuts, and increase of inequality and even worse voting rights for many.

    Re: President Donald Trump

In 2016, a woman in her 30s filed a court complaint, accusing Trump of raping her at one of Jeffrey Epstein’s parties when she was just 13. Her complaint included affidavits from two contemporaneous witnesses. A week before the election, she withdrew the complaint because she had been threatened and was in fear of her life.

This woman should be believed every bit as much as the victims who bore witness to their sexual assaults at the hands of Catholic priests in Boston. She should be given the same consideration that they were for not filing her complaint at the time of the rape.

Here is an axcerpt from her complaint:

“Defendant Trump initiated sexual contact with Plaintiff at four different parties. On the fourth and final sexual contact with Defendant Trump, Defendant Trump tied Plaintiff to a bed, exposed himself to Plaintiff, and then proceeded to forcibly rape Plaintiff. During the course of this savage sexual attack, Plaintiff loudly pleaded with Defendant Trump to stop but with no effect. Plaintiff Trump responded to Plaintiff’s pleas by violently striking Plaintiff in the face with his open hand and screaming that he would do whatever he wanted. . .

“Immediately following this rape, Defendant Trump threatened Plaintiff that, were she ever to reveal any of the details of the sexual and physical abuse of her by Defendant Trump, Plaintiff and her family would be physically harmed if not killed.”

This is your president. And mine.
