Scouting report: His fluid arm action and clean delivery allow him to pitch to both sides of the plate with his 91-94 mph fastball, while his extension through the ball gives it some sinking action. Orozco’s curveball has above-average potential, thrown from an over-the-top slot with good arm speed, creating a 12-to-6 shape with depth, and he also shows good feel for a changeup, giving him the chance for three average-or-better offerings … Beyond the stuff, Orozco’s overall feel for pitching sets him apart from most pitchers his age. by Evan Halpine-Berger... BTW he is only 19

We Also recieved Juan De Paula...He is all about projection..6-4 and a live arm. I love these moves being we had no room for Gamel who was sent down by Seattle. With our stacked system i hope Cash starts to make similar deals for young project arms, CBDP or INT money. I hate to just let prospects go for nothing and with so many avenues now there is no reason for it.

Sorry I missed this question, I do not know off hand but will ask. Yesterday I spent the day at a college game to see a pitcher available in the draft and came home and start editing the week's podcast.

Curious about this as well. Clarkin having a breakthrough year would help soften the blow of Kap's injury.

Wade, Andujar, and Mateo having good years would give us the #1 farm in baseball. I feel like those 3 could have played better last season. Especially Mateo.

Andujar 6 for 8 on the day (including the cycle over the DH). Not bad.

I would add McKinney to that list. As far as pitchers, I think you can add Dillon Tate, Finley, Ian Clarkin, and Domingo Acevedo as high-risk high-ceiling types. Then we have all of those emerging Latin kids (the Garcias, Molina, Cabrera, Flames, Gomez).

I think even if Wade, Andujar, Mateo have poor seasons, it's feasible that we could end up with the #1 system by the end of the year anyway. Very exciting time to watch minor league baseball.

Dillon Tate and Billy McKinney have both featured on top 100 lists at some point in their careers. Domingo Acevedo and Clarkin have been featured as having a FV of 50 on fangraphs at some point. Using the definition I've repeated multiple times, which you have either willingly ignored or forgotten because you aren't very bright, no, they would not be fringe prospects. But, at this point, I think that would be more or less fair. All of them are far more likely to bust than boom.

I don't know how many times I need to ask you this, but here it is again: please do research before posting on this forum. You're not good at it naturally and it's become burdensome to educate you on some things that take 30 seconds to find yourself.

Was talking about this year, but it was a poor attempt at humor my son. Although, you've changed your "definition" multiple times from the original "industry standard" notion.

But I'm pretty educated on prospects. Thanks. Not sure you're doing the whole research or education right, though.

Also, I agree on McKinney and Acevedo, though Finley, despite his curve and spinrate, may not belong on the same tier as some of the other high-ceiling guys mentioned.

Andujar having a big season and forcing his way to the majors would be huge. Would help with trading Headley (even if andujar isn't your starting 3b, you can be content with torreyes there until he's ready), which would give more room to get under 2018 cap

Unfortunately from what I remember, not many teams need 3bs.
