He hit just .198 in Pulaski I doubt Wilkerman will go to Charleston.

r though. He looked so go in 2015, and strugglerd so much in 2016. Maybe hiding an injury?

Sill wonder if they put him in SS ball for a 3rd year. Maybe start out in Staten Island and get promoted in a month to Charleston if successful?

He will either repeat Pulaski or go to SI. He struggled pretty bad last year, and a huge drop in performance like that does not usually get a promotion no matter how highly touted you are. Judging by the coaching staffs that will be in SI and Pulaski I expect both teams to be mostly IFA guys.

Rembelow wasn't bad until he got hurt. Goody was very HR prone in his short chance in the majors, but did put up a 10.55 K/9 and 3.72 BB/9 in 29 IP in 2016. Both of these guys were dominant in the minors, but just because they haven't panned out in the short term doesn't have anything to do with Widener's long term outlook.

Widener had a K and BB rates of 44.0% and 5.2% to go with a 0.47 ERA over his 38.1 IP in 2016. Rumbelow and Goody never touched those numbers. Also, Widener is a lefty, which makes it much easier for him to carve out a MLB role (See Shreve and Layne).

I tend to agree he can rise quickly if things go right. But yes, all of these prospects are risks which makes it all the more necessary to have a boat load of them.

    ^ Widener is an RHP.

I totally expect the Yanks to give Widener the opportunity to start.

I wonder if Danny Hultzen is worth a look see. Anyone know of his on going health issues?. Is he nursing anything at this time?

Ugh, yeah hes listed as a Lefty hitter so my bad there.

It'd follow what they did with Adams to make him a starter and wouldn't be a bad idea. He could always go back to the pen if he failed. We just have so many starters to squeeze into rotation spots next year, it's going to be interesting to see who makes the cut.

    Good read.

I also liked the short article on moving Torres to 3rd. It is reasonable to think that he has the potential power to handle it. His arm is more than enough for there. If Andujar does not work out.....maybe.

Our next profile is out. This is on RHP Adonis Rosa, I was very impressed with him when I saw him in SI.

Sorry for lack of photos, I don't have a photographer down in the DSL or Pulaski so it is tough to get stuff from there.

3b is not really just a corner position nowadays with all the shifts making the 3b play near the ss gap, but it still isnt as valuable a spot for putting your speed on defense relative to ss.

id not move torres. get didi some roids and play his arm at 3rd

This is pretty solid. I'd put Montgomery where Abreu is.
