Oh, crap. I was thinking of the freak accidents in the past and forgot about that one. That was simply the worst, especially when you add in the tidbit that he was negotiating a new contract.

He was very humble in his interviews.

JPP definitely acted like a baseball player that July 4th. For every JPP or Plaxico there are dozens of baseball players finding ridiculous ways to injure themselves off the field. Their are websites dedicated to it.

Oh crap, again. I forgot about Plax in the freak accidents. That might have been the worst as he both lost his career and went to jail. (he must have had a terrible lawyer)

I love Andrew Miller. I'd find it hard to root against him even if he was back on the Red Sox.

Toronto basically sold the farm for two years of trying to get a WS.

Their offseason will be really interesting.

Disagree with you there. Bautista is a bigger jerk and whiner and hes been at it for a longer period as well. But anyways the Jays and he Sox are out which makes this year worth it I was dreading seeing one of these teams make the WS. Thank you Cleveland. Hope you win the World Series.

I've been saying this for years but I'm glad most regulars on here have finally realized how much of a douchey organization the Jays are aligned with their bandwagon fans. Flip those Jays jerseys to the leafs and keep losing you losers.

Thank you Cleveland...goodbye Toronto. To me, the biggest db on that team will always be John Gibbons

Bautista is the biggest idiot of that group and it's not really close... but they have a few of them.

Donaldson was about the only one who actually showed up for the ALCS.

So nice to have the Jays gone. Now the facebook "Jays fans" who have no clue about baseball can find something else to talk about (likely the Leafs).

What a wonderful day for Toronto sports yesterday – the Jays get eliminated & the Leafs blow a 4-0 lead and lose 5-4.

I have to say that given the teams in the post-season, it really could not have gone any better IMO. Indians decimating Red Sox and Blue Jays in the AL series and great series, mostly competitive, series from the NL teams.

I would really hate to be put in a position where I'd have to root for that guy. Signing him would contradict what the Yankees stated goals are in getting younger and more cost controlled.

I think Edwin is going to look for that one last big contract for 5 years, especially after seeing how Ortiz went out.

Trying to sign Harper in 2 years would make more sense than signing Encarnacion in his age 34 season.

Totally agree. At this point I am good with whoever wins the World Series.

Great outcome, love that the big bats were the ones that had a chance to come through and failed.

Congratulations Cleveland Indians on their first American League pennant since 1997.
