Re: ALCS - Toronto vs Cleveland

    I'm rooting for the Indians.

But I worked in Toronto and fell in love with the city. Probably my favorite large city to visit with all things considered. I like the people there and would retire there. So, it's hard for me to root against the Blue Jays the way others do.

The bad thing about Cleveland winning and going up 3-0 is we would then keep hearing: "...the only team to ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in a best-of-seven playoff series were the 2004...."

I really hate hearing that number.
"Deep to left! Yastrzemski will not get it! It's a home run! A three-run homer by Bucky Dent! And the Yankees now lead by a score of 3-2!" - New York Yankees announcer Bill White (October 2, 1978)

This is just unbelievable that the Tribe might be able to win a game where Bauer was taken out very early.

Seriously, did Bauer really screw up his finger by playing with his drone? There's part of me thinking you guys are pulling my leg.

Well, maybe they could hurry up and make it a sweep while they were at it. And we wouldn't have to hear that any more.

Though I'm not convinced the 2004 postseason really happened. Wasn't it canceled that year because of an influx of lumbago along the Eastern Seaboard?

You're correct, I hate that too. At least, I've made peace with it, unlike some other unfortunate endings.

Not your leg, nor your finger. And I guess it's better to get hurt playing with a drone than with a worker bee ... or the Queen.

    Wow.

Who remember when Bob Ojeda nearly cut off his finger (on his throwing hand) with a hedge trimmer?

I'll always remember Ojeda, partly because the gringos had so much trouble pronouncing his name. So he made it easier by saying it was "Oh-hee-dah".

I have friends, who are life long Indians fans, that thank me every game for trading Miller to them. They love that Miller has 2 more years, and think the Cubs got ripped because Chapman's a FA.

Also, Miller's better. Or has been so far. Hope I didn't just jinx him!

Maybe I did! Leadoff single in the ninth, tying run to the plate.

Well, I am rooting against them.

    Go Indians!
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.
