Somehow, I feel this one is going extra innings. Again.

The spectators in it are feeling a little dumbfounded, also.

If this is going to extra innings, it will get wackier.

I bet Aroldis Chapman doesn't want to see Buster Posey bat with a man on base.

No even year magic this time for the Giants.

First elimination loss at home since 1997.

I have a ton of friends that are Giants fans. I said to them, "Nothing to be ashamed of. The Giants gave it a go to try to win their fourth MLB World Championship in the 2010s decade in 2016, but they weren't good enough and the Cubs hanged in there and wanted a little more."

Re: NLDS - San Francisco vs. Chicago

The Chicago Cubs will have a very interesting opponent in the NLCS.

Will it be the Los Angeles Dodgers where the Cubs have a score to settle in the 2008 NLDS and trying to make their first World Series appearance since winning it all in 1988?

Or will it be the Washington Nationals where the Cubs and Nationals have the two current longest pennant droughts in MLB history? The Cubs have yet to make it back to the World Series since 1945 while the Nationals have never made it including their years in Montreal as the Montreal Expos which started in 1969.

You mean ... you miss having to watch them when it's not the Yankees celebrating. Agreed.

Yeah, that would be pretty tough. The whole concept never made sense. And their fans went nuts over it.

Congratulations Chicago! Great win! I don't feel the sympathy for the Giants or their fans - well, maybe one or two I coach Little League with. But other than that, no mercy.
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

wait...what were you trying to say there? I've been watching them when its not the Yankees celebrating for 4 years now. I still cant believe Detroit swept us

I think what we're both trying to say is we miss watching the Yankees celebrate playoff series wins. It actually hurts watching these other teams do it. But I'm really confident it wont be long before we're celebrating too.

My thoughts exactly. No one felt sorry for us when we got eliminated from 2001-2008.

I just picture Giants fans walking out of the park looking at their pocket calendar thinking I dont get it.

Not sure why. You think they'd be used to it after September.

Looks like Bochey managed to over manage even more than Girardi last night.

I'm happy the Giants are out, but really not at the hands of the Cubs.
    I really dislike Maddon.
