Madison Bumgarner's postseason scoreless streak ends by...Jake Arrieta!

Arrieta giving MadBum a taste of his own medicine with the three-run Jimmy Jack!

Denard Span is the spark plug for the SF Giants with a double and a triple.

Buster Posey brought Span home with a single to center in the third to get the Giants on the board.

Then, Brandon Belt hit a sacrifice fly to right to bring Span home in the fifth to make it 3-2.

Madison Bumgarner lasted five innings and gave up seven hits, three runs and one walk with four strikeouts.

This isn't going to be easy.
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

Chapman coming in for a 6 out save opportunity with runners on 1st and 2nd. Pence coming up.

This may make it easier fot the Yankees to re-sign Chapman in the offseason ... if they still want him.

Chapman strikes out Pence, then.....Conor Gillaspie triples in 2 runs.

    Conor Gillaspie.

Its easy to say in hindsight. But Chapman is hittable. It's like he throws hard, but thats it.

I still take him over Betances as a closer though.

I guess if you are a Cubs fan you were waiting for this inning to happen at some point.

They'll still have two more chances to put the series away ... surely?

They will...this 8th inning collapse may linger though. They haven't been able to do anything right.

That was a Jim Leyritz type of home run. High slider that Kris Bryant connected and it had enough carry to go over the fence.

WOW!!!! What a catch! And he doubles off the runner at 1st easily. Nobody thought that was going to be caught.

To the 10th! Hopefully the Cubs can score here.
