i'm fine with any of them being the victim.

    Re: Walking Dead season 7

Stumbled upon this beauty of a story.

AMC is allegedly threatening lawsuits for The Walking Dead spoilers. The Spoiling Dead Fans, a Walking Dead spoilers Facebook fan page, announced that they received a cease and desist letter from AMC for posting possible spoilers for the victim of Negan’s baseball bat attack that ended Season 6 of The Walking Dead. According to the post, AMC threatened to sue the people who run the page if they release the correct spoiler identification of who Negan killed.

“Basically what it all comes down to is if we post our Lucille Victim prediction and we’re right, AMC says they will sue us. Whether there are grounds for it or not is not the issue, it still costs money to defend. That is the way our justice system works. Would we have defenses? Sure. But it also costs money to mount that defense. If someone brings us a potential Lucille spoiler and we confirm it and it turns out accurate we could get sued.”

    Negan killed Glenn.
    Negan killed Rick.
    Negan killed Abraham.
    Negan killed Maggie.
    Negan killed Carl.
    Negan killed Darryl.

    Come get me, AMC.

We all thought it was Abraham, Glenn or Daryl. Once the first death happened, I was completely shocked for the second.

Brutal. I love spoilers so I actually knew pretty much everything that was going to happen in the ep (including the Carl arm scene and the picnic scene at end) and I still sobbed like a little bitch all the way through.

I though the first 15 minutes were pretty bad (all those flashbacks were annoying to me) but from the first actual death on it was pretty much perfection.

    pros
+ they killed two. fair play, good twist. kinda figured that was on the cards but still, fair play.
+ they showed the eye pop as well as they could.
    + "suck my nuts"

    cons
    - saw the non-cutting of carl's hand coming from the moment negan said rick wasn't giving him the right look. never really believed negan was gonna have him do that. he just needed to see rick was willing.
    - the first half of that episode could & should have been done in 10 minutes, not 25.
    - nothing overly surprising.

solid to good start to this season. if they really wanted to make this whole bit better, they should have killed abe last episode & killed glen this episode. that would have blown people's minds far more.

it was classic TWD waste of screen time: we could do this in ten minutes but let's make it last 25.

It was ok. They sucked all the feeling out of the episode by having us wait 6 months for the payoff. This type of cliffhanger didn't work for me.

I'm not a hater (Steve), but the show really took a turn for the worse at some point last season. Tell a story, don't try for all the cheap thrills.

Also, if anyone watched this episode without fast-forward capabilities, I feel bad for ya! Commercial breaks were an eternity.

    Re: Walking Dead season 7

Glenn has been my favorite character on the show since basically episode 2, so last night was pretty rough. The writers claim that a whole lot will come out of what happened here, but I'm skeptical. I'll stick around to see how things to develop, but Glenn (and to a lesser extent Abraham) were awesome characters who actually made the show enjoyable to watch in recent seasons.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not sticking around to watch Michonne, Rick, Carl, Maggie, or the others recently. They've just been boring to me, and their characters are pretty much played out.

Negan brings some much-needed danger back into the show, and I want him to stick around longer than the Governor did. There should be no easy way to bring him down without bringing destruction to their entire community.

As I was watching last night, I was wondering if this was when the show finally went too far. The repeated bashing in of Abraham's and Glenn's faces was so brutal, that I think even some long-term fans might have dropped the show, then and there. Glenn is an original, and to die in that way was such an awful end for him.

I haven't read the comics, but I don't think there's any way that Negan could die that could even come close to making up for what he did.

And honestly, Negan's actions make total sense. Rick's group always thinks they can come back and get the upper hand, and Negan literally just needed to beat that out of them in the most efficient way possible.

I disagree. It would have screwed up the pacing with regard to the tension. This way, there was a tension build up to see who got killed, then sort of a break after you find out who it was, then a surprise death out if nowhere. Then another break, then the tension ratcheted back up with Carl, then the break again. That sequence was done really well.

Rick's 'About Schmidt' scenes I could have done without.

maybe because it happened the way i expected, there was no tension for me.

    i am in complete agreement.

I honestly thought that when Rick was being told to cut off Carl's arm that he was gonna jack off his own hand instead. Hoping it would be enough for Negan.
