Actually, you can't hate the Rangers because the team is made up of clean players focused on playing hockey instead of gooning it up like that bush league dirty team down the turnpike

He's a hell of a goalie and I hope he wins a cup before he retires, but the Rangers' window seems to be closing. That Duclair/Yandle trade doesn't look so great in hindsight.
I'll always hate Simmonds though. He's a dirt bag.

Don't remind me about Yandle/Duclair. I was watching the Florida home opener the other night. A team that talented and fun to watch (worth tuning in just for 44 year old Jagr and his mullet alone) and the arena on opening night was only 2/3 full. It was so sad and enraging because living in the northeast I can't go to a NHL game for less than $120 per ticket, if you can even get in.

Eating my words so far, I just can't believe how good the Canadiens are and undefeated with that tumor of a coach and GM. Never saw this coming in a million years

Didn't Montreal get off to the same start last season and ended up not making the playoffs?

Canadiens started last season winning 9 in a row and 18 out of their first 24.

Hot starts are nothing new for Montreal.

They're bottom half in the league in creating high danger scoring chances for during close situations and are sixth in shooting percentage in the same situations.

    The offense will dry up.

too bad Rangers only play the Canadiens in January. While they're focussed on being scared of Kreider, the other 11 guys will have put up 5 goals by the end of the first

These teams have delusions of grandeur. Another albatross contract on the back end, they never learn

Glad they did not name the team the Golden Blades. I would not have liked that.

A quality coach out there in the middle of the season. But unfortunately Snow will still keep Capuano. Only way the Islanders will ever get rid of Cappy is if the GM is fired first.

McPhee leaving for the Vegas GM job really screwed things up for the Islanders. Had the new owner wanted to make a change at GM they could have just promoted him and fired Snow. I think the new owners are a bit clueless at hockey operations and wouldn't know who to turn to. Think Wang keeping Milbury around after he bought the team.

I thought one of the new owners had previously had some connection with the Capitals. Can't the Isles ever find an owner who actually knows something about hockey

There are 443 people who have played an NHL game this season who weren't alive when Jagr made his NHL Debut Oct 5, 1990.
