The 2016 Hockey Hall of Fame Class was announced. Guess who's leading the way...

    'The Big E' Eric Lindros

Other inductees include one of Russia's legendary forwards Sergei Makarov, former Los Angeles Kings, Boston Bruins, Detroit Red Wings and two-time Stanley Cup champion Montreal Canadiens goaltender Rogie Vachon and one of the most underrated coaches in NHL history and the man who led Canada to their first Olympic Gold Medal in men's ice hockey in 1952 'The Big Irishman' Pat Quinn.

I'm surprised that Mark Recchi, Alexander Moligny and Dave Andreychuk are not in yet.

All three are far more deserving than Lindros. I think longevity should factor into make it into such an elite class of athletes. Lindros may have been productive but retired far too early to be a HOFer in my opinion.

Oilers trade Taylor Hall to the Devils for Larsson. I know Larsson has slowly turned the corner but its hard to believe they couldnt get a better return for Hall.

WTF Edmonton Oilers. With Slats still wandering the halls of MSG, how are we not the ones fleecing them? (Yes, it seemed like Larsson made some nice steps forward this year, but still).

Larsson is outstanding defensively and will put up a lot more points when he's not behind the worst forward group in the league. I love the deal from the Devils' perspective, but Larsson is a solid return. Surprised/happy there wasn't a 2nd/3rd type pick involved as well, but it's not too outlandish of a trade.

Still think its a seriously dumb trade by Edmonton....

    Stamkos is staying in TB.....

    http://www.tsn.ca/stamkos-to-stay-in...tning-1.517913

$68 million over 8 years for Stamkos, good deal for TB. He seemed to want to stay in TB.

Ok with Stamkos and Hall no longer an option Garth Snow needs to reach out to Okposo's agent and talk. As an Islanders fan I fear the worst in two days. Losing both Okposo and Neilson.

That has been confirmed. It was offered mid-season when Hamonic made his trade request. Looks like once he rescinded his desire to be traded the offer was off the table. I would think that Snow would pulled the trigger had the trade request remained.

My Islanders also lost Neilsen to the Wings. Apparently he took less money to leave. Garth Snow is having a lousy day. I fail to see how Ladd is an improvement over KO. Maybe Frans.

I do like the Chimera signing replacing Martin. Only 2 years at $2.5 million per.

$42 Mil for an older, slow player to play with McDavid after trading Taylor Hall for peanuts. smh.

Also, I saw NJ just signed Lovejoy to a multi-year deal. I guess that solves their defensive woes.
