None of these cuts are a surprise. I am assuming Vereen is being retained.

Who are the FA left tackles? I don't know if they will be able to do all this in FA but I'm hopeful.

    My FA list:

    LT
    Big outside WR
    Resigning JPP
    Retaining DRC
    Retaining Hankins
    Retaining Pugh

    Draft:

    1. TE
    2. LB
    3. RB
    4. K
    5. FB
    6. S

Not much. Whitworth of the Bengals is the big name, but it sounds like he wants to stay put. Also, he's 35 and Cincy moved him to guard in the last game of the season.

Not encouraging. How deep is the LT position in this draft?

"Meh", from what I can tell. The name most connected to #23 is Ryan Ramczyk of Wisconsin- a 1 year-starter coming off hip surgery.

Great signing IMO for not too much cash. Marshall can be a great go to possession guy at this point in his career opening the outside for Sheppard and OBJ.

Man I wanted Whitworth badly, he signed with the Rams for 3 years, $36 million w/ $15 million guaranteed. Im surprised the Giants couldnt get the necessary money together to get that done. Erg if Flowers is the LT next season Ill be pissed. Hoping for Okung now.

He is 35! That is insane for guy this old.

I am not really liking the Marshall deal. I would prefer signing a TE and a Tackle with that money like bringing Bennett back or trying to get Matt Kalil (too late). Protecting Eli at age 35 is more important than another WR.

Whitworth is one the best LT's in the NFL, on a 3 year deal, despite his age, is not insanity. It would have made sense to actually protect Eli, like you said the Giants should be doing. Whitworth is a much better tackle than Kalil, who is hurt a lot.

He's also one of the oldest non-Kicker/QBs in the league in a leagues where father time is seldom kind. I'm not upset they didn't sign him.

I just realized this is the 2016 thread and a new 2017 Thread has been created.

Pro Football Focus has Kalil's signing as the worst offseason move in the NFL.
