Sad news. Too bad the rumor proved true.

Ken Stabler's head coach John Madden's statement
    http://www.csnbayarea.com/raiders/ma...99-ken-stabler

“I was head coach of the Raiders the entire time Kenny was there and he led us to a whole bunch of victories including one in Super Bowl XI. I've often said, If I had one drive to win a game to this day, and I had a quarterback to pick, I would pick Kenny. Snake was a lot cooler that I was. He was a perfect quarterback and a perfect Raider. When you think about the Raiders you think about Ken Stabler. Kenny loved life. It is a sad day for all Raiders.”

What's interesting is how Stabler had a higher comp % and QBR than Bradshaw over their respective careers. Of course, Bradshaw had the Steel Curtain and a resultant four super bowl rings. Bradshaw of course was elected to the HOF as soon as he was eligible, while the Snake has yet to make it.

I don't get it either. I know Snake had the bad boy reputation with a couple of run ins with the law, but he really should be in the HOF.
