Robert Morgenthau, the former US attorney, then Manhattan DA for 3 decades, was none other than the most famous prosecutor on the face of God's Green Earth. He passed on at age 99.

    Various notes:

I've heard that one of my ex-teammates in a sports league, his sister is terminally ill, has very little time left. Very sad thoughts, and my strongest prayers.

Around January, one of my players (Jim) in said sports league, passed on in his sleep. It's been bothering me, so I'm finally posting this here.

    R-I-P

Another friend, Jerry, who also played in that sports league, passed on earlier this year. I only found out, since I revisited a bar near where he used to work and someone mentioned that to me.

No. His victims are once again being denied justice and the odds of bringing down all the other people involved in his horror is greatly diminished.

Well. Investigations will continue. We don't know what evidence they actually have now. And I read that there is no one else who would have standing to challenge the search warrant executed at his house. So I still feel for his victims but am not giving up hope.

Hopefully his assets are liquidated and a fund set up for his victims.
But unfortunate he wasnít able to go to trial and name names, Iíd like to see them all burn.

The civil suits currently in place will continue against his estate. I'm sure more will be filed.

I hope whomever is appointed Executor of his Estate is well-compensated. They will have their hands full.

Al Jackson, 83, functioned as pitching "ace" on the brutally bad Mets of the early 1960s.
