Speaking in tongues. Or typing in tongues. Or typing in thumbs. Whichever way you put it, God is directly involved.

Sears repair scheduled to be here this afternoon for their 3rd attempt to get refrigerator fixed. Now 32 days without it. I'm giving them no better than 50/50 to get it done today.

Yikes. How have you been getting by without a fridge?

It's been cold enough to use the screen porch as a cooler. Frozen foods have been relocated. It's inconvenient but not a nightmare.

You have to repeat the same 3-10 nonsense syllables ad nauseam for it to be a reputable example of speaking/typing in tongues/thumbs. I would know; I've been subjected to it. Maybe not the thumbs part but yeah.

My parents had the same problem with theirs last year; I'll bet it was the same model. It was only a couple years old at the time. It took 6 or 7 weeks to get the right part and get it repaired. I told them they should sue, but they didn't feel like going to the trouble.

Fortunately they have a couple of big freezers aside from their fridge, and they managed without the fridge part for the entire time. I kept some fridge stuff for them, and they have neighbor friends who did, too.

Id be good at it. I have a lot of practice repeating myself as nauseam.

I had a compressor replaced once. I think it took 3 days. One day to get the guy to come look at it. A day to order the part and get approval from manufacturer (it was under warranty). Another day to put it in.

That's about my situation, except they had to order parts twice and it was 10 days between appointments, so 12 days to get somebody here to begin with, 10 more days to install the first part and 10 more days to install the other parts, which is today. Something is going to go wrong, I can feel it.

Well, it's already gone wrong, or you wouldn't be needing parts and repairmen.

Buy from the local appliance place who also provide service for their product. Big appliance chains suck.

So, do you like it? YES is one of the channels so that would take care of half of my viewing. It seems to give you the local affiliates of the major networks so you get the local news. Don't see PBS so that's a small setback.
