I realize that, so where do you suggest this post go? Or should I not have posted it at all????

Baseball games are not won with a formula. If you can hit, they will find a place for you

I, for one, would like to see posts from good AAA players who couldn't make it to NY because there wasn't any room. I liked Cave...better than I like Frazier. Cave did play in ST games.
    Let the kids play.

I agree, I had a few Pat Venditte posts (the switch-pitcher) upthread when the Dodgers picked him up for a while in May. He never appeared in an MLB game with the Yankees either. Notable MiLBers for Yankees ought to be fair game here I think.

And of course it was Tyler Clippard who blew the save that sent the Blue Jays Red Sox game into extra innings. Thanks a lot TieClip

Cervelli would be in the Hall of Fame if the object was to get concussions. He went on the disabled list due to a concussion 3 times in 23 days!

Aw, poor Frankie. I hope he has no permanent damage from all of this.

Best of luck to Cervelli on recovery from his latest concussion. Got to wonder when the cumulative effect forces him out of the game like it did Mike Matheny.

St. Louis has lefties Chasen Shreve and Tyler Webb. Shreve is 8 days older than Webb.

Kirby Yates had a 5.23 ERA for us in 2016. This year for San Diego (albeit a better ballpark for pitchers), he's 4-0 with a 1.62 ERA.

Cody Carroll (traded in the Britton deal) has a 6.75 ERA and 1.875 WHIP as an Oriole. Just 2.2 IP, but still...ouch. Also, Dillon Tate has a 7.94 ERA in his first two starts with Baltimore's AA affiliate.
David Ortiz tested positive for performance enhancing drugs in 2003.

Adam Warren has remained clean-shaven, possible sign he would like to return to Yankees?

Likely not, a waiver wire trade is much more difficult and the Mariners are still in the hunt for the second Wild Card
The real reason why the Yankees keep winning is cause the other team can't stop staring at the damn pinstripes

I'm sure he meant as an FA since that's what Warren will be at the end of the year.

I was going to post that link ... updates on 22 Former Yankees. Thought this was the most interesting:

    OF Jake Cave

Trade: Sent to Twins for RHP Luis Gil

The latest: The Twins gave Cave his major-league debut in 2018. Hes handled it well at the plate, hitting .282 with a .783 OPS and four home runs in several stints. Most of his games have come in center field. The Yankees traded him due to what was an outfield logjam at Triple-A.

Cano is back from his suspension and playing first base for the first time tonight at Oakland at 10:05 P.M. Cano has only played 1 inning of defense not at second base, which was at shortstop on April 13, 2013.

But not back with the Yankees ... (who could use him right about now).

Another thread that had better be moved to Around the Majors.

Another former Yankee McKinney (Todd Frazier earlier bashed 3 HRs in 2018 against Yanks pitching) returned to Yankees Stadium and driving in runs.
