    Awful posting.

Phil Hughes now has a 99ERA+ thanks in large part to some rather awful pitching over the course of his last six starts: 38 IP/6.34 ERA. BABIP gods haven't been kind.

I'm going to post this here rather than in the "deeply disturbing" thread, but be aware: it is deeply disturbing.

Thanks to this site I've know for a long time he was a total d-bag. The extent of his d-baggery I did not know before this. May he spend the rest of his life behind bars.

I only knew about the one 12 year old when he was a basketball coach which I think got him convicted - which is bad enough by itself. I did not know he had a serial history of being a sexual predator pretty much since high school.

I remember Eddie Layton playing that when Hall came to bat once and Rizzuto says "Was he in the Marines, or something?"

And that girl's parents are pure fking idiots.

The whole thing is tragic, but this is what struck me most and might be even harder for the victim to understand. Hall is pure scum clearly, but her parents didn't protect her and apparently really enabled the situation. Doubly tragic.

They are both disturbing but Mel seems worse than Chad. Though who knows how bad Chad would have gotten had it been allowed to go on as long as Mel's did.

Chad was weirder because of the whole religious thing, and what he did was despicable. What Mel did was worse.

Colon was perfect through 6 and 2/3's vs the M's. Cano broke it up with a single to left.
