My first thought whenever discussions like this come up is Curt Young and the A's staff. I don't know how they ................ing do it, but Colon, Kazmir, and Rich Hill (partial credit) were major reclamation victories. Perhaps more importantly, the number of decent or better SP who leave that place in FA and subsequently experience a career nosedive over the next two or three years has been staggering.

With 2 outs, Boone Logan gave up walk off homerun by Charlie Culberson in the bottom of the 10th inning. The win clinched the NL West for the Dodgers.
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

Jesus Montero busted for PEDs again: https://twitter.com/BrendanKutyNJ/st...99629238501376

Apparently it was amphetamines, not HGH or steroids. So dumb. It's really not that hard for a professional baseball player to get an exception for amphetamines. You basically just need a doctor to say you need it to focus.

Geez, didnt learn the first time....He was supposed to be everything Gary Sanchez is now. Now at best he is a platoon DH/bench player
The real reason why the Yankees keep winning is cause the other team can't stop staring at the damn pinstripes

Kuroda retiring at the end of the Japanese Series.

Loved this guy during his brief stint here.

I wonder how he would have fared had he pitched his whole career in MLB. I think he's a very good bet to top 50 WAR, and would have had an outside shot at 60-65. The former puts him around Oswalt, the latter around Halladay.

Really nice article in the Times the other day about Curtis Granderson. I didn't see it posted elsewhere on the site.

Nova signs a 3 yr/26MM contract with the Pirates. Probably can now afford exterminators to come to his house to control those pesky cockroaches.
