I assume there's no way to do this since html code is turned off, but I thought it'd be a good idea to check here first. Any help is appreciated.
I'm not sure what this is good for, but I thought it was amusing. (Go to the Advanced Search page to see it full-size ...or if you're curious to try searching any of these yourself.)
I still want to be subscribed to threads, so they show up when I click on Quick Links, but I don't need to have them emailed to me anymore and I can't seem to disable it. I unchecked whatever I needed to, but I am still getting them. Any ideas?
I guess they bring in money but....are they here to stay? They are so distracting when you're trying to read a post or type a post. :( ugh
Whatever happened here?
For NOW - right now...
Forget the smilies. Forget the searches. Forget the post counts..... Hell, even forget about the thread starting grace period.
We need a way to block users from threads. Like what is done in the game threads.
Certain posters go into threads just to start arguements and everyone winds up in an uproar.
I say - if a poster gets reported in a thread for being a nuisance, and the mods deem the same, let's suspend those posters from coming back into that...
I have to order some items for my job today from Amazon and wondered if there is still the option to go through this site to order and some of the proceeds go for to this Forum. I didn't see the little Amazon.com button. Thanks
I was wondering if there is a way to keep people from the outside from lurking especially during key times, for example, some of the playoff games such as last night? It was really a bummer last night knowing the Yanks were on the brink of being eliminated and not being able to log onto this site to commiserate with my fellow Yankee brethren. All I kept thinking was some cynical idiot fans who get off on seeing the Yanks lose, were lurking. Or are there other more complicated reasons why the...
 Posting in the Game Thread forum...and it's gone.
Space saving thing?
Jim, can you add the User CP to the Quick Links drop down box? It's a little easier access to my thread Subscriptions.
Dont know if anyone is aware, but since the change the forum search function only shows results from '01 and earlier.
If I'm in a thread with multiple pages, if I click to go to the next page, it does not work. I have to get out of the thread and then click "go to first new post."
I am using Google Chrome.
It would be nice if avatars could be 150x150 and if we could post at least 1 photo in our signatures. 650x100 max seems about right.
Not getting any since the upgrade.
I have the subscription option turned on in my profile, and on my subscriptions page it shows the type of notification as 'instant', and my email address is correct.
As most of you saw yesterday, we had some downtime and lost some posts. This was unfortunate, but it was part of the process of moving to a new server. That process is over, but there are still some tweaks going on behind the scenes. I apologize for any downtime during these times.
Hitting the forum on my iPod tonight... Painful, to say the least. How many of you currently use the forum on your smartphone? How many of you WOULD hit the forum on your smartphone if it were less painful?
I just read the above in the new mod draft thread and those changes sound really good, but if you're upgrading to that latest version of vbulletin I personally want nothing to do with it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE conduct a survey of your users before moving over. I've been on a handful of sites where they "upgraded" and it was the worst change ever made and they lost a lot of users.
My suggestion, come up with a site or two that uses the new version you're thinking of and have people check it...
Could you please change the name of the Game Thread Forum to The Complaint Department?
Thanks in advance.
And how can I get more?
Any chance we could:
1) Have the search restored for all the forums?
2) Have the Birthday Calendar updated to the present?
3) Have the ability to view more that 25 posts per page?
These were all things that were available in the past. Thanks in advance for looking into these requests.
