  2. Jeter's Bet With A-Rod

I read a few years back when Jeter and A-rod were tight (at least tighter than they seem to be now), they made a bet with each other over who would get married first..... 13. hampton to florida on the table

possible 6 player deal between colorado & florida Hampton says he won't waive his no trade clause because he wants to play for a contender. He doesn't seem to get that his performance + salary makes him unattractive to any team that has a chance of being a contender. If I were him I would do it and resurrect my career.

Here's a list of the 2003 FA's thus far from ESPN.com. It's broken down very nicely for anyone interested. There's Thome and then there's everyone else http://msn.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/stark_jayson/1459869.html I know many of you hate Stark but I enjoyed looking at the list and the way it's broken down near the bottom. Interesting to see Bellinger on the FA list.

  19. Has Mike Hampton been traded?

This is a serious, 100% legitimate question. I've heard people talking about Hampton possibly being traded. But I remember him being traded to another National League team. I think it was either the Reds or the Cardinals or a team like that. But I can't find any record of it anywhere. Maybe I dreamt it. That'll happen to me every now and then (once I dreamed that I got fired from work, and I believed it -- that made for an intersting few days).
