  1. Sticky Thread Sticky: Autograph signings website

For those of you who are interested in memorabilia shows (not just baseball) for the entire country this is the best website that I have seen. www.signingshotline.com

  1. Consecutive Number Finishes in MVP Voting

David Ortiz finished second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth in MVP voting. Does anybody know of another player who had at least five consecutive number finishes? Alex Rodriguez, Ryan Howard, and Ryan Braun finished first, second, and third. Does anybody know of another player who had at least three consecutive number finishes including winning? The numbers have to be consecutive, but the years do not.

  2. Three Rare Things That Would Happen if Tyler Mahle Finishes a No Hitter

Cincinnati rookie Tyler Mahle is no hitting Atlanta through 6 innings. Mahle is batting eighth. Does anyone know of a no hitter who did any of these three things? 1. Pitched by a rookie 2. Pitched by a pitcher batting before ninth (a pitcher who didn't bat doesn't count) 3. Pitched by a pitcher on the team with the worst record in MLB at the time

  3. Mickey Mantle card sells for (almost) record price

Mantle's Topps rookie card just sold for $2.88 million, the second highest price ever for a baseball card (after the 1909 Honus Wagner). The prior high price for this card was $1.13 million in 2016, though that involved a card with a slightly lower grade (8.5) than this one (9). http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/23254147/1952-mickey-mantle-baseball-card-topps-sells-record-288m

  4. Who am I?

I've played for New York, Detroit and Minnesota teams. I also spent a lot of time playing in Newark and even Tennessee, and also out of this country. I was born in Virginia a long time ago. I turned twenty in my first season of pro ball. I batted and threw right-handed. Some have called me diminutive. I was kind of bow-legged but that didn't matter ... cause many people think I was one of the best defensive third basemen in the history baseball - in any league. I was kind of flashy out...

  6. Both Rookies of the Year With 3,000 Hits

Pujols has 2,968 hits. If and when he reaches 3,000, 2001 will be the first year that both leagues' Rookie of the Year reached 3,000 hits. The AL Rookie of the Year was Ichiro. The closest this came to happening was in 1977, when Eddie Murray got 3,255 hits and Andre Dawson got 2,774.

  19. Louis Arroyo is dead

For those of you too young to remember him, he was a very good relief pitcher for the Yankees in the early 1960's. In fact, in 1961 he had a 15 and 5 record and saved 29 games. Many of those saves were for Whitey Ford who probably would not have had over 20 wins that year without him. How many of you remember him or even saw him pitch?
