  4. When do these guys get their Monument Park glory?

I’m sure the Yanks are taking a break after inducting the Core 4 a few years back, but I’m still amazed at a bunch of legends still on the outside looking in: Hall of Famers: Just about all of the ones left that don’t fall into the category of “well he’s in for another franchise” like Dave Winfield and Rickey Henderson, are from the 1920s teams, so are they waiting on the Golden Anniversary for Waite Hoyt, Earle Combs and Herb Pennock to get Monument Park plaques added to their Cooperstown...

  6. Worst Career Batting Average Before Winning a Batting Title

  7. Biggest Pitcher Winning Percentage Range Other Than 1.000 and .000

Boston's Brandon Workman went 10-1 (.909). In 2014, he went 1-10 (.091), for a gap of .818. Excluding seasons with only wins or only losses, do any other pitchers have that big a gap between their best and worst season winning percentages?

  9. Babe Ruth And Ground Rule Double HR's

I was listening to the Orioles-Red Sox game tonight and Joe Angel was talking about how in 1931 the NL changed the rule where balls that bounced over the outfield wall counted as a home run. Two years earlier in 1929 the AL had changed the rule. So my question is how many of Babe Ruth's home runs between 1915-1928 were actually ground rule doubles? Were there any statistics kept back then that differentiated between the two types of HR's?

  10. Has a Rookie Ever Won an ERA Title?

After Tampa Bay plays in Saturday, Tyler Glasnow will not have enough innings to qualify. Charlie Morton raised his ERA from 2.32 to 2.65, which moved Justin Verlander to second behind Glasnow in ERA, with Detroit's Spencer Turnbull in third. Verlander has a 2.38 ERA, and Turnbull has a 2.40 ERA. Turnbull is a rookie who went 0-2 in 16 1/3 innings last September. I'm not saying Turnbull will win it, but if he even leads at some point in May or later, that's surprising.

  11. Players Started the Season on the Same Date in Consecutive Years Not at the Beginning

Marc Rzepczynski's first two years were with Toronto. He made his MLB debut on July 7, 2009. His first game of 2010 was on July 7. What other players played their first game of consecutive seasons on the same date in May or later?

  12. Most Runs Scored or Allowed Before or After a Shutout

In a doubleheader on September 9, 2004, Kansas City beat Detroit 26-5, and then Detroit won 8-0. What's the most runs a team has scored a game before or after being shut out? What's the most runs a team has allowed a game before or after pitching a shutout (not necessarily a complete game)?

We know that Mussina won 20 games for the first time in his last year in 2008. O'Neill had his only season with at least 20 home runs and at least 20 stolen bases in his last year in 2001.

  14. What's the Latest Inning For a Pitcher's First Career Win?

San Francisco's Williams Jerez pitched the 15th and 16th against the Mets before San Francisco won walkoff in the 16th after 2:30 A.M. What the latest inning for a pitcher's first career win. I checked Hector Noesi, who won his MLB debut for the Yankees at Baltimore on May 18, 2011. He pitched the 12th through the 15th, so Jerez's win was later.

  16. What's the Biggest Standings Gap Between Consecutive Teams in a Division?

What's the biggest standings gap between consecutive teams in a division or a league before there were divisions? https://twitter.com/TBTimes_Rays/status/1137884690004754434 has the AL East standings for the last 162 games for each team, and Tampa Bay won 101 of 162 for the first time: Tampa Bay: 101-61 (.623) Boston: 98-64 (.605) Yankees: 97-65 (.599) Toronto: 66-96 (.407) Baltimore: 48-114 (.296, and the opposite record of the 1998 Yankees) The Yankees won over twice as many games...

  17. Pitchers Who Left the Yankees With a 0.00 Career ERA

In 2006, Matt Smith pitched 12 scoreless innings. Then he was among the four players traded for Bobby Abreu and Cory Lidle. Smith pitched 18 2/3 innings before allowing his first earned run. He didn't last long, as his last game was in 2007 only 1 year and 11 days after his debut. What players left the Yankees with a 0.00 ERA, and how many career innings did they have when they left? The players do not have to have made their MLB debut with Yankees. They could have debuted with another...

When Francisco Rodriguez broke the MLB record with 62 saves in 2008, he got 1 first place MVP vote but no first place Cy Young votes. Cliff Lee got 24 first place Cy Young votes, and Roy Halladay got the other 4. Halladay finished second for Cy Young with 71 points, but didn't get any MVP votes.

With 248 wins and 3,500 1/3 innings, Sabathia will hopefully reach 250 wins and 3,500 this year. Here are the players who did that: 1. Randy Johnson of the Yankees in 2005 2. Tom Glavine of the Mets in 2003 3. Roger Clemens of the Yankees in 2000
