  1. 1903 NY Highlanders Hat

Hello all! I've been trying to find some pictures of the 1903 NY Highlanders season to see if they ever wore the following 2 hats: Unfortunately I had no such luck finding any.

  2. What's The Hardest Last Week of a Season in Yankees History?

The Yankees end at Tampa Bay and Boston, who have the two best home winning percentages in MLB other than the Yankees. What's the hardest last week of a season the Yankees have ever had? I'm talking about the difficulty of the opponents without considering how good the Yankees were than year or how they did in that week.

  3. Best Careers by Hitters Who Never Played Enough to Qualify in One Year

Hitters need 502.2 plate appearances to qualify (I've seen 502 be listed as okay even though 502 is less than 502.2). 3.1 plate appearances per team game in 154 games would have been 477.4. Steve Pearce's career-high is 383. He has 89 home runs, 283 RBI, 278 runs, and 543 hits. Does anybody know of a player with more than that in any of those categories without having enough plate appearances in any year?

  4. Have Other Teams Clinched The Yankees Division at Yankee Stadium?

After the Yankees last home game against Boston, the Yankees will have 10 games left and Boston will have 9 games left. In order to clinch the division at Yankee Stadium, Boston would need to lead by at least 10.5. Boston has 13 of their next 23 games at home, and 8 of the 13 are against teams below .500. Does anybody know if a team has ever clinched the Yankees division (or the AL before divisions) while at Yankee Stadium? It counts if a team lost at Yankee Stadium and clinched because...

  6. Should Todd Helton Make the Hall of Fame?

At http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/24210202/mlb-roundtable-looking-ahead-hall-fame-class-2019 two out of three people said Todd Helton won't make the Hall of Fame and one person said he could gradually rise. 7. Being on Both Sides of a No-Hitter in One Year

The Philadelphia Athletics' Bill McCahan pitched a complete game loss (although the bottom of the ninth wasn't necessary) when Cleveland's Don Black pitched a no-hitter on July 10, 1947 in Game 1 of a doubleheader. On September 3, 1947, McCahan pitched a no-hitter against Washington. Does anybody know of another pitcher who pitched a no-hitter and started a game his team got no-hit in one year?

  8. Yankee Stadium in the early 70s question.

Question: My mother says that when she attended a game at YS in the early 70s (she thinks 1971 or 1972), there was some sort of bank of phones where if you picked them up, you'd hear a recording of a Yankee legend talking, or someone else telling a story about a Yankee legend. My father says he doesn't remember it if it was there, so my mother is wondering: A. If it indeed existed or whether she's misremembering something. B. If it did exist, where in the Stadium it was, and any other...

  12. Both Leadoff Hitters Starting With a Hit By Pitch and Stolen Base

https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/HOU/HOU198609250.shtml for a game Mike Scott pitched a no-hitter in. In the top of the first, San Francisco's Dan Gladden led off, was hit by a pitch, and stole second before the second plate appearance was finished. In the bottom of the first, Houston's Billy Hatcher did the same thing. Can anybody find another game where both leadoff hitters were hit by a pitch and stole second before the second plate appearance was finished?

Mike Mussina won a career-high 20 games in his last year. A.J. Burnett was an All-Star for the first time in his last year, and his 7 losses that year were his career-low in years in which he pitched at least 162 innings.

Pitched by a pitcher batting before ninth (a pitcher who didn't bat doesn't count) 3. Pitched by a pitcher on the team with the worst record in MLB at the time

  18. Mickey Mantle card sells for (almost) record price

Mantle's Topps rookie card just sold for $2.88 million, the second highest price ever for a baseball card (after the 1909 Honus Wagner). The prior high price for this card was $1.13 million in 2016, though that involved a card with a slightly lower grade (8.5) than this one (9). http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/23254147/1952-mickey-mantle-baseball-card-topps-sells-record-288m
