  1. 15-year-old shot by police in school

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/seminole/orl-kidshot1506jan15,0,4321056.story?coll=orl-home-headlines The facts as I understand them are . . . - The kid brought a pellet gun, which he had painted black to look real, to school and told another student that he had a gun - Chaos ensued, students fled, the police showed up and chased the student around the school - The kid ran into a bathroom, and there was a standoff

  2. Like books on tape?

I do. Read an unabridged one a long time back about Joe D. It was great. They're fun to listen too in the background when you're busy doing something else. Like a long drive. Like when posting at NYYFans. When I was in Colorado for a wedding, my sister took me to an outlet store and I got a new one. The retail price seemed kind of high (49.95) but I only paid 13.99! Maybe it was because of the topic. :D FAITHFUL. The book that had Varitek safely in his catchers mask on with some...

  3. New Yankee fan in Beantown (joke)

Y'all do know that I had to "turn around" the teams, don'tcha? :gulp::O Any-wayz ... A Massachusetts family of baseball supporters headed out one Saturday to shop for the youngest boy's birthday. While in the sports shop the son picks up a Yankee jersey and says to his older sister. "I've decided to become a Yankee fan and I would like this Yankee jersey for my birthday." His big sister is outraged by this and promptly whacks him upside his head and says, "Go talk to mother." Off goes the...

  4. Transfering Colleges

Has anyone here ever transfered colleges before? If so, was the process really difficult? I'm currently miserable at the university I'm at right now, but I don't know if transfering is worth it, or is it better to just be miserable for the next two years?

  6. This is an actual sign that I saw today (not funny, just sad for the human race)

So I walk into my local K-Mart today to return an item, and while I'm standing at the customer service counter, I look down and see this sign taped to the counter . . . The first "BE" might be a brand name, so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on that, but the rest more than makes up for it. I just laughed and shook my head. I understand that the English language might not be your strong point, but when you're in a business setting and you're trying to...

  9. Who else is excited about the return of 24?

I am looking forward to once again having the privilege of seeing Jack Bauer save the world again starting Sunday??? Hard to believe it's been 8 months since we left Jack. Sunday and Monday 4 hours of 24!!!!! Wow, I love how Fox waits till January and just runs it straight through till May. Big talk is that someone big dies in the 1st episode and that's why Jack is brought out of hiding, my guess is Palmer, since he'll be in another show this mid season. It should be a fun season and I...

  13. Question about booking hostels

I made a post a while ago about my backpacking trip to Europe and I was wondering if I should book my hostels now or just wait until I get to Europe and just check-in on the spot? Here's the thing. I have an idea of where I'm going but the amount of time spent at a specific country is what I'm not sure on. And then there's the possibility that plans might completely change and I don't want to stay at country x and would rather go to country y. Will I really save that much if I book earlier...

  15. Wedding Crashers

Just got back from seeing this movie. Holy smokes. I mean, HOLY SMOKES. Absolutely hilarious. Definitely the funniest movie I've seen in the last 5 years, and probably longer. If you were a fan of Vince Vaughn's performance in Old School, and have been waiting for that movie where they just focus on him and let him do that funny thing he does, then look no further.

  20. 2006 Baseball Video Games

I just found out that EA Sports isnt making MVP 2006. I'm so pi$$ed, I loved that game. Every spring I look forward to buying he new edition. Well since thats out of the question, does anyone have any suggestions on what game looks the best this year? I almost bought High Heat in 2003, until I played MVP. That was a pretty nice game. I also was a big fan of the MLB series under 989 Sports in the late 90's, but haven't played any of those games in a while and don't know what it's like now.
