I hope that you have a great day today, Tom. :)
A huge Happy Birthday wish to you, Tex. :gulp: May you have a great day... and many more!! :D
I'm just wondering if anyone here besides me thinks that one can read a book (literature or fiction type) and learn absolutely nothing from it?
For example, in one of my literature courses that I'm required to take, I had to write a paper on what I learned about war after reading five fiction books (all books were anti-war as well). I wrote in the paper that these books taught me absolutely nothing about war, because 1) they were fiction and 2) they were all writen by authors who have never...
I was bored at work today and thought of this. What TV family would you like to be adopted by? Sorry if I left any biggies out.
Looks good! :)
Does anybody here get Men's Journal or know where I can get a copy of the latest issue. I was told that Tino is modeling in an advertisement for Jhane Barnes, and I really want to see it.
No, not the Oliver Stone one.
This film is "Flight 93" and chronicles the events that took place on board. I still am conflicted if as to whether it's too soon for these films. Just watching the teaser is gut-wrenching stuff.
If a woman is collecting half of a man's retirement fund... and that women was to remarry... Would it affect how much the woman can take from the man...?
My computer about twice a day tells me "Virtual Memory Minimum too Low". What does that mean? And how can I fix it? You also need to know my computer knowledge is limited to turning it on, signing on the internet, downloading music and typing. :(
With all due respect to the other very funny guys who were reportedly considered to host this year's Oscars (March 5): Crystal, Rock, Conan, Steve Martin -- Jon Stewart is just going to slam this thing out of the park.
Who better than the King Kong of Current Events to skewer Hollywood's biggest night?
I agreed to watch this w/ my wife, and, besides, I generally enjoy Bill Murray. But this may be the stupidest movie I've ever seen.
I have a friend who wants to go to the movies tonight and mentioned this (Johnny Knoxville - Special Olympics). Go or no go?
Man this is Hilarious... If I ever saw somebody over the age of 5 eating with one of these Id smack it outta his/her hand.
So I used AVG and now it's not working for me. So does anyone know of any good free anti-virus programs?
I'm not a Bill O'Reilly fan, but I thought Letterman went out of his way to act like an asshole in that interview.
So you are stranded somewhere with a tv, a dvd player, and the complete collection of ONE show. What's it gonna be? Do you pick a sit-com or an hour long drama? Do you go with one that lasted longer simply because it provides more variety? Do you pick something you have never even watched just so it is all new?
I think, if I had to decide right now, I would take Friends. It went ten season, and was good all ten of them. The only other show I would consider is The X-Files, but there are so...
Here are some funny courtroom quotes from lawyers and people on the stand:
I have spent a lot of time over the past day trying to figure out how to do this. I have my desktop picture on the TV screen with perfect color and size, but nothing else. Does anyone know how to help me, or where I can get help? I've asked at some computer forums, but they want me to keep downloading stuff and deleting others. Too risky for me.
Was it too long? Yes, but any 3 hour movie is too long.
This movie was light years better than the first remake of the classic.
Plot holes? Of course, but what fantasy film doesn't?
Was it a perfect movie? No. I have problems with several things about Jackson's film. While there were many sublime moments, there were quite a few ridiculous ones as well. Jackson seems to have fallen into the same trap as Spielberg, Lucas and Cameron. He is so in love with CGI, that he fails to honor the...
