    I just saw that movie in 3D this morning. I have to tell you it was one of the best movies I have seen in a long while, and the 3D effects were astounding. I had also read the book and this is one of the rear occasions where I felt that the movie was better than the book. I loved the book but it had parts that were slow moving. The movie was riveting all the way through. It is certainly worth the money Andy

    I was right here on this website. It was pretty archaic by todays standards but it was still the place to talk Yankees. I first heard about the tragedy by some initial posts that if I remember correctly reported that a train had crashed into the World Trade Center. I immediately turned on the TV and then reports from this site corrected it, that a Plane had hit the trade center, then watching the TV, I heard that a second plane had hit a second tower. Later we saw both towers collapse, ...

  8. Mohegan Sun Sports Questions

    I will be attending and was given tix for the Jim Beam Suite, but the tickets also say access to the Mohegan Sun Sports Bar Access. The stadium info page says appropriate attire. Are cargo shorts and a pinstripe jersey or NYY T-shir appropriate enough, or are they looking for collar shirts etc... Thanks, Bob

  10. TV Reporter & Camera operator shot dead while reporting a story in Virginia

    When Alex and I saw the headline on BBC this morning of "US TV Journalists Shot Dead on Air", he said "must have been in the Middle East somewhere"...clicked into the article to see it was in Virginia.   14. Any Broadway show fans out there?

    What Have you seen and recommend. I have gone to about a dozen Broadway shows, mostly musicals, and many more in my area (Hunterdon Hills Playhouse, Bucks County Playhouse and the Morristown Playhouse). I guess I'm looking for something different from what I am used to seeing, yet something I can enjoy. We've seen The Jersey Boys, Mama Mia, The Book of Morman, Beautiful, Chicago, and the Million dollar quartet among others. Andy

    We're off later this week to attend a friend's wedding. Singapore's never been high up my holiday wishlist, but I'm kind of excited at this stage, as I've never even been in that part of the world before. We've got a few days free, during which we have a cable car dinner planned, and will probably go to one or two zoos or similar. Has anyone else been, and has any recommendations they'd like to share?   19. Sitcom that was killed too soon? Your thoughts

    Name a sitcom you enjoyed and thought was headed to great things but the network suits killed it too quickly, didn't give it a chance to build an audience. Does not have to be a show you saw in your lifetime, you can nominate a show before your time that you have found out about and think was killed off too soon (my nominee is one of those). Only rule: Show must have lasted one year or less.
