  6. June 17, 1994: Where were you?

Just watched the ESPN 30 for 30 about 6/17/94. Absolutely riveting. I was 14 and had just graduated 8th grade. I remember watching the Rangers parade on TV that morning (dad wouldn't let me go). That night I had a graduation sleepover party with friends. We watched everything unfold between the Knicks game and the OJ stuff. Watching that documentary really opened my eyes as I hadn't seen the footage since then, or at all, like the letter he wrote, or the conversation he had from the...

  8. Bands everyone loves except you

Phish Radiohead - always called geniuses, but all of their songs besides Optimistic are extremely whiny. "Karrrrrmaaaaaa Police" "Don't leave me hiiiiiiiiighhhhhh. Don't leave me dryyyyyyyyyyy". :barf: Bob Dylan - great songwriter, totally horrible singer Bruce Springsteen - I don't get how people spend $100 a pop and see him 12 times a year. I've tried listening to his channel on XM and I just don't get it. Red Hot Chili Peppers - everything after Blood Sugar Sex Magic has been...

  10. Make Up A Weatherman Name For Yourself

If you were a weatherman what would you call yourself? A good example is a local weatherman here in DC named Topper Shutt. I would name myself Thunder Boone. Edit: Ladies you can play too.

  12. DirecTV2PC

So Directv has finally done something they have wanted to accomplish for a very long time: allow people to watch programs on their computer. All you need to have on your computer is the application BUT there are a few crippling stipulations that make the service very limited: 1) You can only watch programs that are already recorded on an HD DVR device, so if you don't have one, you cannot use the service. Further you will not be recording your program, but rather streaming it from your...

  14. Google Voice

I received my invitation to join this weekend after a couple of month wait. I set up a number, set it up to forward to my iPhone, edited all of my Gmail contacts to bring them up-to-date with phone numbers and I think it is ready for prime time. I like the free texting since I've always been far too cheap to pay AT&T for texts and I also like the ability to forward texts to Gmail (or any email for that matter) and reply to them there. One downside is that it won't send texts to recipients...
