Discuss the Yankees in here (Formerly Inside the Lines II)

  1. Sticky Thread Sticky: ATTENTION EVERYONE New Community Standards

Big news - our revised Community Standards are finally online. Please access them on the footer of the page, towards the right-hand edge..... The main point of differentiation between NYYFans and most other sports forums is the sense of community that has been fostered here, since our site was founded many years ago. In order to maintain this atmosphere, we must hold posters to certain basic expectations when participating here..... To this end, we will be conducting a soft relaunch of...

  2. Exclamation Sticky Thread Sticky: *IMPORTANT* New URL for the NYYFans Forum

All, in their continuing effort to provide high quality Yankees content, SNY has decided to split the NYYFans.com site from the forum. Effective immediately, the NYYFans forum is using a new URL: www.nyyfansforum.com - you will need to log in with your user credentials. Please update your bookmarks now. The old URL, forums.nyyfans.com will redirect to the new domain name for a temporary period of time while everyone makes the transition. Please let me know if you have any questions or...

  3. Sticky Thread Sticky: Please Use Descriptive Thread Titles

Please show some courtesy to your fellow fans and use descriptive thread titles in this sub-forum and in all other areas of this forum so everyone knows exactly what's being discussed in a particular thread. A thread titled "Joe Torre" for example could be about anything - please specify exactly what you want to discuss in the thread you're starting such as "Will Joe Torre Ever Come Back to the Yankees?". Not everyone has a lot of time on the forum to go in and out of every single thread so...

  2. 2018 Trade Deadline Thread

Noticed a bump on the old Hot Stove thread so started thinking about possible options for our biggest need this summer. Starting pitching? Patrick Corbin perhaps?

  3. Embrace debate: Sign Machado, move Andujar to 1B, adios Bird

If this isn't in the right section, my bad :dunno: Thread title is the topic at hand. Stole the idea from a poster on another forum I frequent. If the Yanks were to sign Manny - who would be willing to move back to 3B - and they feel inclined to keep Andujar, would you be willing to part ways with Bird and have Miguel man 1B?

  4. Greg Bird OUT 6 to 8 Weeks - Bone Spurs Ankle Surgery

Lets be real, this is big news, albeit awful news, thus it deserves its own thread. :( The surgery will be performed on Tuesday, March 27 https://twitter.com/YankeesPR/status/978362019026960385 Dammit

  7. The Hunt for the final missing piece: one more dominant SP

1.To contend with the 'Super teams' that have 2 dominant SPs like Houston, Cubs,LA etc. 2.I don't believe Gray is a truly dominant pitcher. Stuff is strong but has a tendency to nibble. Mental make up to me makes him a pretty good but not shutdown guy like the Verlanders and Kuechels 3.Tanaka can be but has been a bit up and down and is an injury risk as he ages 4. CC while a true warrior is well past prime and likely at best gives us about 5 now with a couple runs given up. 5. We...
