  1. Sticky Thread Sticky: ATTENTION EVERYONE – New Community Standards

Big news - our revised Community Standards are finally online. Please access them on the footer of the page, towards the right-hand edge..... The main point of differentiation between NYYFans and most other sports forums is the sense of community that has been fostered here, since our site was founded many years ago. In order to maintain this atmosphere, we must hold posters to certain basic expectations when participating here..... To this end, we will be conducting a soft relaunch of...

  2. Exclamation Sticky Thread Sticky: *IMPORTANT* New URL for the NYYFans Forum

All, in their continuing effort to provide high quality Yankees content, SNY has decided to split the NYYFans.com site from the forum. Effective immediately, the NYYFans forum is using a new URL: www.nyyfansforum.com - you will need to log in with your user credentials. Please update your bookmarks now. The old URL, forums.nyyfans.com will redirect to the new domain name for a temporary period of time while everyone makes the transition. Please let me know if you have any questions or...

  3. Sticky Thread Sticky: Please Use Descriptive Thread Titles

Please show some courtesy to your fellow fans and use descriptive thread titles in this sub-forum and in all other areas of this forum so everyone knows exactly what's being discussed in a particular thread. A thread titled "Joe Torre" for example could be about anything - please specify exactly what you want to discuss in the thread you're starting such as "Will Joe Torre Ever Come Back to the Yankees?". Not everyone has a lot of time on the forum to go in and out of every single thread so...

  1. Official 2018-19 Offseason / Hot Stove Thread

May as well start this one now: • Improve overall team OBP (Harper?) • Rebuild starting rotation (trade for Bumgarner, think big) • Shore up defense (trade Sanchez. Move Andujar to DH full-time, sign either Donaldson or Machado to play 3B) • Let Gardner and CC walk. Investigate Stanton trade to Dodgers. • Revamp coaching staff (would like to replace Boone too, but Cashman will never do it).

  3. 2019 Spring Training Thread - Official or not

Well, pitchers and catchers have reported to Legends Field and Aaron Boone has had his first press conference with some news revealed: 1. Whomever had the "Before Spring Training" bet on Jacoby Ellsbury getting injured wins the concrete bicycle. He has a plantar fasciitis problem and is staying behind in Arizona before reporting to Tampa. My guess is that the Yankees wanted to keep him out of sight of the press. 2. Michael King is shut down with an elbow issue and will be reevaluated...

  4. If Severino is out for a long time, who replaces him?

I just heard Severino has shoulder trouble. Do the Yanks promote from within the organization or do they look to an available free agent who is still not signed?

  5. 2019 Season Predictions

Let's have a little fun during this slow time of Spring Training: Make three or four predictions we can look back on in a few months and laugh, cry or stand in awe at. You can make them whatever you want, but try to make them interesting (IE: Being able to look back and see you predicted that Judge would lead the team in HR isn't noteworthy) For me: 1. Three guys making league minimum/close to with relatively low expectations crush it for us: Tulo, Voit and Bird 2. Stanton has big come...

  6. See you in Cooperstown on 7/21/19-Mariano Rivera and Mike Mussina

Congratulations to Mariano Rivera on his unanimous induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame--can't think of anyone more worthy of the honor, based upon his excellence on and off the field. And congratulations to Mike Mussina on his call to the Hall!
