Discuss the Yankees in here (Formerly Inside the Lines II)

  1. Sticky Thread Sticky: Site Issues

Sorry for the long outage over the weekend....there's not much we can do in times like this other than wait. The good news is that I have a direct contact person at SNY who helps get problems resolved, and up to a few months ago I had nobody to contact for the previous five years. In any event, it was apparently a server issue that is hopefully resolved. We are still trying to get a software upgrade which is turning out to be a frustrating process, but we're still hopeful it'll happen...

  2. Sticky Thread Sticky: ATTENTION EVERYONE New Community Standards

Big news - our revised Community Standards are finally online. Please access them on the footer of the page, towards the right-hand edge..... The main point of differentiation between NYYFans and most other sports forums is the sense of community that has been fostered here, since our site was founded many years ago. In order to maintain this atmosphere, we must hold posters to certain basic expectations when participating here..... To this end, we will be conducting a soft relaunch of...

  3. Exclamation Sticky Thread Sticky: *IMPORTANT* New URL for the NYYFans Forum

All, in their continuing effort to provide high quality Yankees content, SNY has decided to split the NYYFans.com site from the forum. Effective immediately, the NYYFans forum is using a new URL: www.nyyfansforum.com - you will need to log in with your user credentials. Please update your bookmarks now. The old URL, forums.nyyfans.com will redirect to the new domain name for a temporary period of time while everyone makes the transition. Please let me know if you have any questions or...

  4. Sticky Thread Sticky: Please Use Descriptive Thread Titles

Please show some courtesy to your fellow fans and use descriptive thread titles in this sub-forum and in all other areas of this forum so everyone knows exactly what's being discussed in a particular thread. A thread titled "Joe Torre" for example could be about anything - please specify exactly what you want to discuss in the thread you're starting such as "Will Joe Torre Ever Come Back to the Yankees?". Not everyone has a lot of time on the forum to go in and out of every single thread so...

  2. All things Kluber

Be great to just focus on all things Kluber in a single thread since it has the potential to be a big signing. Yes obviously there is some risk but keep in mind this guy is NOT a power pitcher. He is a super smart control pitcher. These guys if they can stay healthy tend to age well. I personally love the signing and think it gives us leverage to not be desperate when if we decide to potentially trade for a cost controlled pitcher.

  3. Jasson Dominguez - Trade discussion

This thread opened for our valued members of this forum to discuss their thoughts on if they feel Jasson should be traded or kept in the Yankee fold. There have been a lot of good thoughts on both sides of the table. This thread was opened last week to track your declaration of this: http://www.nyyfansforum.com/showthread.php/140309-Jasson-Dominguez-You-decide Please use that thread to enter your choice.

  4. Post an image... of a Yankee player that busted that you had the highest hopes for.

Quarantine and no baseball has me bored, was thinking about how a lost season might negatively impact the development curves of young players, which got me to thinking about legendary Yankee busts. Who was the Yankee that was a "can't miss" prospect, or that burst on the scene out of nowhere... only to fizzle out and end up a bust that still to this day stings? Post an image. Sadly, there are many but I'll start with an easy one... Kevin Maas was exactly what the Yankees needed...
