  2. Sticky Thread Sticky: Please Use Descriptive Thread Titles

Please show some courtesy to your fellow fans and use descriptive thread titles in this sub-forum and in all other areas of this forum so everyone knows exactly what's being discussed in a particular thread. A thread titled "Joe Torre" for example could be about anything - please specify exactly what you want to discuss in the thread you're starting such as "Will Joe Torre Ever Come Back to the Yankees?". Not everyone has a lot of time on the forum to go in and out of every single thread so...

  2. 2017: Yanks on the Road

Yanks were a below .500 team on the road in 2016 (17-23 at the halfway point, 36-45 in total) and IMO they need to reverse that record on the road this year to be in contention. They've started off 3-6. A couple of wins @ Fenway can "straighten the ship" in a hurry. The Yanks won 48 games at home last year, and IMO they'll at least match that & hopefully do even better because I think they'll score more runs at home this year. 50 wins seems like a nice achievable goal. Perhaps we can have...

  5. Post your 2019 Yankees lineup predictions

*You don't actually have to post lineups. Just who we'll have at each position* Now that I think of it we won't necessarily have a typical "leadoff hitter" With these guys, how would the lineup go? Judge (RF), Harper (LF), Frazier (LF), Sanchez (C), Bird (1B), Otani (DH), Didi (SS), Torres (3B), Wade or Castro (2B). I think Torres could leadoff as he has speed and gets on base 3B Torres LF Harper

  6. The Hunt For Shohei Otani

It's on. He's being posted this offseason. The quickest way to go from a middle of the pack team to a contender would be by signing an ace-caliber pitcher for under $3M. Almost unfair to the teams that miss out on him.

  10. 2017 Trade Deadline Thread

It's not too early to start projecting what the team might need to consider doing at the deadline. I don't think their record after the first week is necessarily a reason to panic, but let's face it. This is still not a very good team. Kinda hoping this July finishes the job Cashman started so brilliantly last summer. How about Tanaka and Betances as this summer's primary bait? And at what point do we need to start getting some ML ready players back to reboot for 2018?

  13. Poll Poll: Tanaka Decision: Should he stay or should he go?

Not sure how to call this one. The way he's pitched lately, I'm intrigued at the idea of keeping him in the rotation for the next few years. But if he opts out, I'm tempted to pass no matter how well he pitches for the rest of this season. If he chooses to honor the remainder of the contract as is, I'm okay with that too. Are we better off moving forward with him, or without him?
