  2. Sticky Thread Sticky: The -$1 thread

The first player signed to a multi-year deal was waived. Andy Pettitte (2 yrs/$13 per) by Kings of Arbitration. Therefore K of A will have only $259 instead of $260 in next year's auction. This will be adjusted by adding $1 to the price of one of his keepers when the keepers are loaded, and then the $1 will be subtracted once the auction is completed. (Edit: I am checking all the rosters now to see if I missed any...this caught my eye because he was picked up on waivers, in which...

  4. 2007 Returning Teams Signup

Football is over if you live in NY, and Spring Training is right around the corner....so let's get busy and see who is coming back for 2007. As last year, payments can be made to my Pay Pal account, and the league fee is still a cheap $25. When you officially reply as returning, I will send you an invoice for the fee. Anyone interested in an expansion team can make that known here, too. 2007 League Teams (in order of finish): 1) Bitches Brew FEES PAID 2) New York Knights FEES PAID...

  9. 2009 Pre-Auction Keeper Lists

Post your Keepers for the 2009 season in here whenever you like, and I'm assuming Big_E will set a deadline by which you MUST have your list posted. I figure we could at least start chatting about this in here if we wanted. Remember, you have to keep at least 7, and no more than 12 players from last year. For me, I'm keeping the following guys for sure: Hanley Ramirez (2 years left on prior deal @ $21)

  14. Adding/Dropping Players

Could we all refrain from adding and dropping players until after Kev has updated the dollar values in our rosters? I think it would help him, since he has to lookup the values of everyone and manually add them, and if the rosters are not the same it could cause some confusion. Also, it appears some players that should have been on people's rosters have been missed. Hopefully when he adds the dollar values, he'll catch all his misses.

  15. Advance warning - Minor League draft approaching!

Just so that everyone's aware, the GameDay minor league draft starts in 2 weeks' time. Please be sure to pre-rank your preferred prospect list at Front Office/Prospects, unless you're 100% certain you'll be there to draft live! Teams draft in reverse order of their standings from 2011, much like they would in MLB. Be seeing you, Saxmania

  16. Poll: Albert Pujols: Worthy of an Option?

At $47 bucks the price is steep. Albert has been a fantasy stud the last 4-5 years. Would you option him at $47 in order to retain his rights for another season. I know there is a good chance he could be had for cheaper, but is the risk of throwing him back and not having him worth almost 1/5 of your salary. If it were you what would you do?

  18. And we're off!

Just a quick explanation for those who are new: The 2 Japan games did not count for the GDR league. This year's mid-week start does count, but as a half-week. So, normally matchups between teams will be scored as between a 7-0 and a 0-7 result (e.g. a blowout win would be 7-0; a very close win would be 4-3), with the result acting as part of a 162-game result for each team. This week, the scale will run from 4-0 to 0-4 instead, with 2-2 happening if the teams' points total are within 67% of...

  19. Any new joiners for 2012?

At the moment we have 7 confirmed returning owners out of 10, with one owner (Romanian Yankees) feeling he doesn't really have the time to commit to this, so willing to bow out if anyone else wants a team. If you'd like to join the GDR league for 2012, or you know someone who would, could you post in this thread? You do get the option to dump the roster you inherit, I believe ('firesale'), so you won't necessarily get stuck with a Houston Astros, but every team has some upside as far as I...
