  2. Sticky Thread Sticky: When Posting About the Yankees Management...

We tried to give everyone a little extra leeway the past week or so to allow everyone to vent, but now that things have calmed down a little I would just like to remind everyone that the community standards apply not just regarding posts about players or your fellow users, but also when you're posting about those in Yankees management. We encourage everyone to post their opinions freely, positive or negative, about the Yankees management or anything else, but please make sure to do so in an...

  3. Sticky Thread Sticky: If you're looking for Yankee tickets, check here first.

So you want to see the Yankees, ay? Are you frustrated by the lack of quality seats available from the Yankees Box Office or Ticketmaster, don't want to take out a second mortgage to buy from a broker, and don't trust buying from someone over the internet? If you answered yes to any of these questions (or even if you didn't!), I've got your solution! NYYFans.com has partnered with the Ticket Network to provide great seats for all budgets for every Yankee game (home or away). There is...

  1. Career after baseball

What do these guys do after they quit playing baseball? I don't mean guys like Derek Jeter or Alex Rodriguez or anyone else that had an average major league career. I'm talking about the guys that didn't make it or couldn't have a sustainable major league career like David Adams, Shelly Duncan, CJ Henry, etc. Soon to be added to that list is probably Mason Williams and Rob Refsynder. Its already tough to make a decent living with a proper education, but what do these guys do? ...

  2. Yankees 2017 Attendance

First Homestand completed 9 games with a total attendance of 321,928 with an average per game of 35,570 That average would be 2,897,352 for an 81 game season. April attendance is typically low so looks like 2017 attendance will not be below 3,000,000 High attendance was Opening Day 46,955 (2016 Opening Day was 47,820) Low attendance was Monday 4/17 vs White Sox 28,181 (2016 low was 27,532 on 9/6 vs Blue Jays and the April 2016 low was 30,003 on Thursday 4/7, which was the first...

  3. New rainout policy?

Fans with tickets for Saturday's game may exchange them for any regular-season game at Yankee Stadium through the end of the 2018 season (subject to availability). Sunday's doubleheader is sold out In the past tickets could be exchanged for any game in the next 12 months. So thru the end of the following season seems to be a new policy.

  5. New Yankee Stadium Reconfiguration

Now that the Yankees are reconfiguring the Bleacher sections next to the Mohegan Sun Restaurant, how about the reconfigure the right field Terrace and Grandstand sections to resemble the refurbished Yankee Stadium? I heard numerous excuses as to why new YS "couldn't" have the RYS. I call "B.S." on that. Watching NFL games and seeing the pitch of the stands in stadiums such as Seattle and Cincinnati. 8 years later and I am still "livid" as to how poorly the new Stadium was configured. ...

  7. 3 years later, does anyone still think the Yanks made a mistake in letting Robbie go?

In case anyone's not following, Robbie Cano is out with a sore quad for the third straight day. Nothing criminal about that, but he was being touted as the guy who never got hurt. Now, at age 34, these things happen. He's still a great player, but he's not Superman. And who's to say how he will be at age 38, 39, 40, etc.? Maybe the Yankees were not so dumb when they passed on matching the Mariners' 10 year offer. Personally, I don't want the Yankees to commit to any player for that long...

  9. **Who are your favorite Yankees announcers?

**Who are your favorite Yankees announcers? You can include both TV and radio in picking your favorite. Also, if you wish, you can include your LEAST favorite! My favorites: 1) David Cone--down to earth, articulate, exceedingly knowledgeable--an ex-SUPER ballplayer. 2) Al Leiter---just think he's a cool guy and I love his experience as a pitcher.

It's that time of the year when the YU emails go out.....and I am on the fence as to wheter I re-up for the MVP level. Last season they not only blocked out the Mets, but they also blocked out the Giants and the Dodgers. I don't know if anyone has joined already, but any specific info to help make the decision. Black out games, etc And if anyone has that special code for the discount....that always helps in the decision making

  13. Just a thought on the 5/14/17 game honoring Derek Jeter

I would love to attend this game, but I've been thinking about the exorbitant ticket prices being charged for what is, after the pre-game ceremony, a night game in mid-May (which may be a bit on the cold side). So I think I might stay home and instead, make a donation to Derek's Turn 2 Foundation in honor of his plaque dedication/number retirement. Not that Jeter is short on funds with which to run his organization, but I feel like the money would do more good this way. Just a thought.....

  14. Yankees Honorable Mentions Ceremonies

Now that the Yankees had the last of the retired number ceremonies for probably a while, I was thinking about what the Yankees will do instead. Also, let's be honest, some of the Yankee numbers that have been retired PROBABLY shouldn't really be retired (I mean, I love Posada and Pettitte, but retired? I don't know..). So my thoughts is that the Yankees had an honorable mention list and ceremony where you get your number become unavailable for 5 years, along with a blurb on what the...

  16. Parking in 2017

I ordered a game ticket and was offered the option to buy a parking pass, listed at $37.00. So I'm guessing that is the new parking cost this season, up from $35.00 for the past few years.

  18. Remembrances of the Past

Yogi Berra would have loved the 2017 edition of the Yankees One of his best known adages was"it ain't over till it's over" The Yankees seem to be making a habit of coming from behind and winning their games in the last few innings. They didn't come from behind but they sure won the game in a late inning. I vividly remember the 1950s Yankee teams. Back then most games were played in the daytime and at 3 PM. They usually lasted for 2 hours of a little more. A famous Yankee nickname...
