  2. Sticky Thread Sticky: ATTENTION EVERYONE New Community Standards

Big news - our revised Community Standards are finally online. Please access them on the footer of the page, towards the right-hand edge..... The main point of differentiation between NYYFans and most other sports forums is the sense of community that has been fostered here, since our site was founded many years ago. In order to maintain this atmosphere, we must hold posters to certain basic expectations when participating here..... To this end, we will be conducting a relaunch of our...

  3. Sticky Thread Sticky: When Posting About the Yankees Management...

We tried to give everyone a little extra leeway the past week or so to allow everyone to vent, but now that things have calmed down a little I would just like to remind everyone that the community standards apply not just regarding posts about players or your fellow users, but also when you're posting about those in Yankees management. We encourage everyone to post their opinions freely, positive or negative, about the Yankees management or anything else, but please make sure to do so in an...

  4. Sticky Thread Sticky: If you're looking for Yankee tickets, check here first.

So you want to see the Yankees, ay? Are you frustrated by the lack of quality seats available from the Yankees Box Office or Ticketmaster, don't want to take out a second mortgage to buy from a broker, and don't trust buying from someone over the internet? If you answered yes to any of these questions (or even if you didn't!), I've got your solution! NYYFans.com has partnered with the Ticket Network to provide great seats for all budgets for every Yankee game (home or away). There is...

  2. 2019 Weather Performance Thread

Game 3, first home rain delay. March baseball in the northeast just isn't smart. Edit: Game delay was 3:17. 4/12. Started the game in the rain, played in the rain until the 7th, game did not resume. 5/5. Bat day, started 3 hours late because of foreseen rain, rained innings 6-8 before it was called. Miserable day for those in attendance. 5/7. Rain delay in the 7th. Game resumed and completed.

  3. Sterling streak to come to an end

John Sterling will miss calling a game on Thursday; he'll be replaced by Ryan Ruocco. This will be the first game Sterling has missed since his sister died in 1989. The stated reason? Sterling has to look after his health, whatever that means. the Yankees play the Rays on the 4th, the game starts at 5:10 PM at the Tropicana, and for whatever reason, Sterling will not be behind the microphone. The article I read said that management urged him to take the day so he would be rested should the...

  4. YES crew discussion marketplace 2019

Your thoughts on the performance of various YESsies this season go here, if you will. I like Jack Curry in the studio. Nothing specific that he did today but I find he's pretty insightful and willing to criticize which is a rare YES trait. Wanted to start with something positive. Now -- Meredith Marakovits is really a terrible interviewer. Her postgame talk with Gio Urshela was textbook on how NOT to interview an ESL speaker who is making a good-faith effort to go it alone without the...

  5. 2020 Renewals

Just got an email from my rep. Invoices for next season are expected to go out the first week in August. One thing of interest in his message was that if I committing to next season by renewing, I'd secure a discount on 2019 post-season tickets.

  7. STH question

Any STHs here? If so, what do/should we get with our STH package as a courtesy? My first year I got a bunch of perks like a pre-game social with an ex yankee, suite upgrade, field level upgrades, etc. Now I'm 8 years in (on my 5th rep) & I can barely get a Pepsi club pass. Is there something that we should be given that I should be mentioning to my rep? I have the 20 game package on the Main Level. (I used to have the Sat package, but upgrade a couple of years ago) Would love to hear...

  11. Fun with John and Suzyn 2019 thread

Post any random thoughts on the dynamic duo here. John trotted out an old favorite today -- complaining about a loud fan (in some versions, it's a vendor) near the broadcast booth. Hopefully the Giants sent someone to tell that fan who likely paid his way into the park that he needs to pipe down on the noise so John can enjoy his own broadcast.

  12. Thurman Munson HOF Petition

Saw this posted to Twitter and thought people might find it interesting. I always thought Munson should have gotten much more HOF consideration than he did. https://www.change.org/p/induct-thurman-munson-into-the-baseball-hall-of-fame The petition is backed up by this web site, which says that "the official launch of the Munson HOF campaign ... was announced by Yankee broadcaster Michael Kay at the annual Thurman Munson Awards dinner on Feb 4th." I don't remember hearing about that, but...

  14. My favorite "Martian"

https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/27102677/yanks-ink-top-prospect-martian Sixteen-year-old center fielder Jasson Dominguez, perhaps the most highly regarded prospect from Latin America in a decade, signed with the New York Yankees on Tuesday morning in a deal that includes a $5.1 million bonus, sources familiar with the agreement told ESPN. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Dominguez is a powerful switch-hitter with top-end speed and a well-regarded throwing arm -- a classic five-tool player....

  17. What Yankees Classic Had The Most Opponents Who Played For The Yankees At Some Point?

On April 10, 1998, the Yankees beat Oakland 17-13 in a snowy home opener. Oakland had four players who played for the Yankees at some point. They were Rickey Henderson, Jason Giambi, Aaron Small, and Buddy Groom. The last three played for the Yankees in the same game on July 23, 2005, which was an 8-6 loss at the Los Angeles Angels. It's possible all three of them played in the same game again, but I didn't check after I found one time. Small went 10-0 that year. In that game, he pitched...
