I guess you should discuss football in here.
Let's turn this thread into one where you post a team, and we all comment on it. SO I'll go first
QB B. Favre
WR Mi. Clayton
WR B. Stokley
WR P. Burress
RB E. James
RB T. Barber
TE J. Witten
BN C. Johnson
We get to keep 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WRs.
Which do you think is a better deal? Trading a 2nd round pick for my boy Brett Favre OR trading Brian Westbrook for Brady?
When drafting: How much emphasis do you put on the strength of schedule...?
This year... I have come to the conclusion that it is one of the most important factors in drafting... if not thee most important in drafting in the later rounds
Alright so apparently the waiting list for the other league is getting a little stretched so I would like to propose a second league! This league will be known as La Liga Futbol American, it will be an auction league and I will post some of the guidelines and scoring that I think should be included as well as a team limit and fees/site used, etc... For now I just want to gauge how many people would be interested in a second league that will be auction style.
I am in a keeper league and I am in need of RB help BAD! Currently I have Rudi Johnson, Travis Henry, Anthony Thomas, Thomas Jones, Duce Staley, and Michael Pittman. Rudi is the only one I can count on since Duce doesn't score TD's.
I am happy with the receivers I have in Isaac Bruce, Laveranues, Justin McCareins, Santana Moss, Brandon Stokley, Plaxico, and Charles Rogers.
What do you guys think of me trading the #4 pick in the rookie draft and Plaxico for my choice of Jamal...
Fantasy-wise... I still think he is going to have a good season...
How good of a season do you think that he'll have?
and in an 8 person draft: What round does he go in?
I don't even remember which team it was for, but around June 18th, it'll be retired. That's the season opener I think, isn't it?
Source, as usual: WCBS880AM.
Rep. Silver was just on WFAN and said he is voting no on the Stadium plan. This is expected to be the end of the road for the new Jets Stadium in Manhattan.
SAN FRANCISCO - Kirk Reynolds made just the kind of offensive gaffe he’d preached to the 49ers players about avoiding.
San Francisco’s well-liked public relations director is suddenly on his way out of the organization after producing a controversial in-house video meant to prepare players for dealing with the media.
It showed them exactly what not to do, all right.
The 15-minute film leaked to the San Francisco Chronicle features racist jokes,...
Even to someone who knows little about American football, this guy is clearly something exceptional. To be still able to play at 42 is outstanding.
Man, I'm thinking about signing up for both these games. I really don't have too much desire to go to Philthadelphia but it would be nice to see a Monday night game in Crabtown.
The thing is, I have to buy an INCREDIBLY expensive hotel room for either game when I could just drive there. The good thing about it is I'll be surrounded by fellow fans of the Greatest Franchise in the NFL. THAT would be EXTREMELY beneficial if I were to go to the game in the City of Brotherly Hate. There...
Couldn't make this up if I tried...
I'm just wondering if anybody has any extra Jets tickets for this season. I'm not worried about the opponent or where the seats are, I just like to go to at least one game a year and not have to pay scalpers. Thanks.
For Mother's Day, my wonderful son bought me tickets to see my San Diego Chargers at the NY Jets on November 6th. The last time I was at Giants Stadium for a football game was when the Chargers played the Giants in that infamous "snowball game." That was 10 years ago already! No one really bothered me....even though I was all decked out in Chargers gear, and screaming my head off as the Chargers clinched the AFC West title.
My question to Jets fans......
Am I safe being all...
Let the battle to be backup begin...
Bye, Bye, FredEx, People's Champ, trash-talkin' Freddie Mitchell.
Let's see if the Eagles feel much better since Freddie Mitchell is gone.
Not a CRIBs show...but where the undrafted ended up...
One I wanted...
Michigan SS Ernest Shazor. Shazor had been expected to be selected somewhere around the mid to end of the second round, but never did get a call. Shazor wasn’t unemployed long, though, as he signed as an undrafted free agent with Arizona
WTG, Donovan! :gulp:
QB: 'Just keep my name out of your mouth'
PHILADELPHIA -- With Terrell Owens absent, Donovan McNabb didn't miss his target.
