That's what it looks like to me since Bowa will be coaching 3rd base for the Yanks.

This is a blow for Texas, no? Hershiser did some nice things down there with very little. I wonder if something deeper went on. I know Hershiser's name came up in some coaching opportunities early in the off season.

I guess ESPN has an Orel fixation.

Did the Texas Rangers find a replacement for Orel as pitching coach?

Does this mean he will replace Larry Bowa on the daily baseball talk show on XM radio also?

Former Yankee pitching coach, Mark Connor who served under Showalter with the Yankees.

XM Radio has no affiliation with ESPN so no at this time.

Well...actually they do broadcast ESPN Radio and ESPN News 24/7 so there is somewhat of an affiliation there...I guess its more that the Baseball show has no affiliation with ESPN?

Well, that's what I thought we were talking about baseball affiliation.

I think it will be a small blow. He did do some good things, but everyone had known all along that he didn't want to be a pitching coach for very long. He stepped down just after the season to take a front office job. So technically he wasn't the pitching coach anymore when he took the job at BBTN.

How was Connor as the pitching coach with the Yankees? I didn't even know he was the PC there.
