Not for the Yankees, but where do you think he'll end up? It's obvious the Cubs don't want to sign him.

My guess is The Dodgers or Atlanta.

If he isn't asking for a ton of money and would sign a one year I wouldn't be surprized if the Red Sox made a run for him. Stick him at 1st or 2nd. Before Theo left no way that would have happened but since he left bringing back Nomar would be a pr move to take some pressure off the FO. He can still hit and he would be less likely to get hurt at first... but he would only be worth it if he comes cheap. I would be surprized if any teams gives him more than a year.

I'm not sure Nomar would want to go back to Boston. Either of the LA teams might be a fit for him

He's going whereever "Beautiful" tells him he can go.I think the player who will listen to his wife this winter is going tobe Johnny Damon. California where the realestate deals are better and the stars are brighter.

Maybe Japan with Sammy Sosa?

Or so he can get with that LA reporter that Derek Lowe dumped his wife for...

California where the realestate deals are better

huh??? Maybe in the badlands or the unihabitable desert areas, but last I checked - there were no teams there! ;)

A few years ago many people tabbed him as one of the 5 best players in all of baseball and look what happened!! I don't see him as a fit for the Yankees (or do I?) What a crazy game.

Amazingly bad. I am ever hopeful that he can turn it around.

The Sox can use an upgrade at short. ;)

As long as his asking price is not too high, I see him bouncing back as a productive player (not the same as before his injuries) in a place like Seattle or with the Angels. ;)

If he is coming at a resonable price I think the Yankees should pounce on him

Whatever team is willing to pay him millions of dollars to cry on the bench when someone hurts his feelings.

A Pirates source confirmed Thursday that the club has expressed interest in free-agent infielder Nomar Garciaparra, who spent an injury-plagued 2005 season with the Chicago Cubs

Garciaparra turns 33 next year and, if healthy -- which is the forecast -- likely has some mileage remaining. The Indians have been thinking about him, and -- if the Tigers were to move Brandon Inge back to catcher -- Detroit might also take a shot.

A friend of mine has been working with the Dodgers recently and he thinks Nomar is going to to LA. Apparently Drew McCourt is just obsessed with him. Daddy already made him VP of marketing, I wonder if he'll get his number one son the player he covets.

As a side note, he's nailing Shannen Doherty. McCourt Jr. not Nomar.
