Is that something that's really in the best interests of the site? Just asking.

If it is, can I use this one?

It could be deemed a tad bit inapporpriate. Thats pretty good though, what do you use to make those. I've been trying to make one with Curt Schilling (weeping nonethless) with the words "Down, Its time to give Viagra a try"

Ugh... Baseball + Politics... I'm not a fan of mixing the two, and the last thing I want to see is an all out political signature war.

This is just my personal opinion, but I'd rather politics be left out of people's signatures, but I guess there's no rule against it, at least not formally.

I don't disagree, which is why I asked the question, but there are a lot of them now.

In the 1970s or so, during Nixon's re-election campaign, my PoliSci prof told me there was a button entitled, "You can't lick our ..."

It sounded cutesy, until they'd realized the obvious double-entendre, if it even deserved to be called that.

The button was quickly recalled and became a collector's item.

I'd rather there not be political statements of any kinds on sigs-that's what the political forum is for, to discuss that.

I'd prefer that politics stay in the Political Forum

Again, I agree, but that doesn't apear to be the rule. The intent of my post was to get a clarification.

Rich,

As much as I like it personally, I don't think it's appropriate. Moreso because of the double entrende than the political overtone. If someone has an opinion, baseball related or not, that they feel strongly about I don't see a problem with it being in their signature.

Yeah, I don't think there should be a policy in place to prevent politics... I just think it should be listed as common ettiquette. Politics are a huge part of my life, and I'm very politically opinionated, but I think that baseball is a place where I can get a respite from all that. I think if I met GW Bush, I could have a baseball discussion with the guy. There are many people on this board with whom I disagree with strongly in terms of politics, but I don't want to take them on for aforementioned reasons. Most ironically, Massachusetts, specifically Boston, is overwhelmingly down with my political opinions. Now that's scary!

Just to clarify about my sig -- "GWB" is Gary Busey.
