as Mel Allen would say "How About That!"

In a move that will warm the hearts of longtime fans who remember the good old days at Connie Mack Stadium, the Phillies are bringing back Ballantine Beer (http://www.philly.com/mld/dailynews/news/local/8246144.htm)

Certainly Ballantine was a big part of Yankees history

I used to sing the jingle when I was a kid... let me see if I remember it, or some of it anyway:

To be good(?) a beer must be Ici-ly bright
Cold and refreshing, precise-ly right
Frosty, (something... was it "lively"??), crystal-ly clear
The crisp refresher
Cold, clear (?) Ballentine beer.

(or something like that!)
:D

Too bad the Yanks can't bring this back along with the departed Mel Allen, the voice of the Yanks, doing the commercials!   For those of you too young to remember Mel, he was the true voice of the Yanks for many, many years and had a distinct voice that I will never forget!!:NY: :NY: :NY: :NY:
