In their continued effort to step up to the plate and stop cheating in baseball Selig and MLB have banned THG.

Another step in the right direction.

While it may be a good start it is all for naught in the end. Within 10 years or less athletes will be able to enhance themselves at the genetic level. Gene therapy is already being utilized at the medicinal level. I envision visual and strength enhancements for athletes that are nearly impossible to detect. Banning THG, while a step in the right direction is ultimately fruitless. There will always be something else that comes along.

There will always be something else that comes along.

I am sure there is plenty out there now that will not show up in a test. Any player that gets caught now is just not very smart...with all of the hoopla about this issue.

That, in and of itself, I think is the scariest aspect of the future... :uhh:
