That doesn't surprise me.

Canseco wasn't willing to take anything less than a major league contract. :finger3: I don't know why he didn't try out for an AL team, where he could at least be a DH.

Now that DePodesta, and not that nimrod Evans, is our GM, it doesn't surprise me either! Hooray. Great things are coming. Now if we only had some real offensive talent in addition to kicking out all the non-talent that Evans invited to ST...

They told him there was a 99% chance he wasn't getting signed when they brought him in.

           LOL!!!

Well let me tell you...
http://losangeles.dodgers.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/la/news/la_news.jsp?ymd=20040218&content_id=638624&vkey=spt2004news&fext=.jsp

Todd Hundley's back is hurt again and the Dodgers don't know when he will report to Spring Training.

Or, if.

Manager Jim Tracy revealed Wednesday that Hundley underwent a previously undisclosed back operation Nov. 25, then recently re-injured the area during rehabilitation. Hundley has a March 1 appointment in Los Angeles with back specialist Dr. Robert Watkins to determine the extent of the latest injury and a course of treatment.
...
The Dodgers have not had much luck with Hundley's health. They acquired him from the Mets before the 1999 season, but an elbow operation was slow to heal. He struggled at bat (.207) and with his throws. He rebounded the next year to hit .284 with 24 homers, but the Dodgers let him go as a free agent and he signed with the Cubs. Last year he hit .182 with only 33 at-bats and was disabled for four months.

And it's in a different place than his previous injuries. AND he'll be making $6.5M to sit on the DL again. Hooray!

To put it in the words of one of my favorite sites, DodgerBlues, "Hundley is hurt... and the sun is hot."

Jose should join the other supposed 85% of the league who is on the juice and maybe he can hitch on with a team and break the HR record

I dont know what kind of s**t Canseco was trying to pull saying he would accept nothing less then a major leauge contract. Right Jose like you really thought you were gonna get a contract. Seemed more like a publicity stunt to me :finger3: :finger2:

His agent admitted that all he wanted to do was promote his book (kinda odd considering it hasn't been written yet). I can't stand the guy. He is a moron.
