Here are the only 2 pics I could find of Boomer as a Padre.
Didn't see anyone post any others.

He looks like he lost some weight. I wish him luck in SD.

I agree, definitely looks like he has shed some pounds. I am a little bitter about game 5 but I always liked Boomer and wish him luck.

I hope he gets his ass handed to him every time he pitches

I absolutely hate boomer, hated him for what he did to my Jays (same as Clemens), shell him everyone, buy him a drink or two hundred the night before he pitches, and I'll pick up the tab. :gulp:

I have nothing but good wishes for Boomer. He was always one of my favorites.

At least he won't have to worry about the San Diego media "overexaggerating" his winless stints after the All-Star break.

Who knows maybe he's back with the Yanks in August if they need a lefty for the playoffs!!

It's really strange that he has his kids' faces as infants tattooed onto his arm.

What's strange about that? It's not something I would do, but it's not an uncommon thing for people who have tattoos to have a picture of a loved one tattooed somewhere.

Especially against the Dodgers. :bad:

Nice for him to get in shape AFTER he leaves the team...
Typical Boomer. I really can't get mad at him because this is just so like him...
But I gotta go w/ Pace and say I hope he has a miserable year.

He definitely looks like he's lost weight. But he's done that before and gained it all back. I doubt this season will be any different.

He lost quite a bit of weight when he came back after the Yankee hiatus, but seemingly gained it all back.

He definately looks like he lost a good amount of weight. If he keeps it off, I bet he will have a very good season, but I expect him to add some pounds by mid season.

Good luck Boomer.

I wonder if the new SD park (Petco?) is going to favor hitters or pitchers? I think Boomer needs all the help he can get - but in the right situation he can keep the team in a bunch of games and eat (pun intended) a lot of innings.

Why, so he can take another game 5 off?

He also had come back on short rest to pitch game 1.

Even stranger he has his mother on his back and his grandmother, I think, on his midriff. I remember a couple years ago, I think in Sports Illustrated someone asked him why, and he said so he didn't have to carry around a wallet, when people wanted to see his family he could just roll up his shirt. Boomer wasn't concerned about what he'd do with the picture on his arm when his kid grew up, either -- he simply said he'd just add a goatee.

I think the Padres are going to suprise. They have made some nice additions. I wouldn't be suprised if they are challenging for a wild card spot.

Screw you Boomer. I hope your back goes out on Opening Day after you get shelled for six runs.

Looks like he lost weight. I can't wish him well, even though I liked him. Hope he loses 20 games this year.
